Chapter 1~ Nothing Will Be The Same

~Mackenzie's P.O.V.~

"Are you sure you don't need me to take you home?" My friend Lynn says as I walk out of her house.

"I am sure I will just go through the woods.." I say

"KENZIE NO THERE ARE WEIRD PEOPLE THAT LIVE IN THERE!" Her fraternal twin Christina yells at me

"I am a big girl! Plus I have been in there millions of times!" I say walking towards the woods

"At day time! Its dark outside and how are supposed to see?" Christina says

"The laterns on the trail!" I say

"Ugh fine text us when you get back to your house!" Lynn says back

"Bye!" I scream and walk into the woods.

I know I am crazy for walking in the woods at night. Its nice there are little lanterns on the trail so I am not going to get lost. My neighborhood owns a small part of a huge forest. All the kids hang out here. I walk down the path that leads to my side of the neighborhood. I walk while looking at my phone. Then I hear a rustle in the leaves. I look around. Nothing. I continue down the path. Then I hear a scream. A bloody murder scream. My first instinct is to sprint home. I can't leave whoever is screaming lay there and die though. I turn towards were I heard it. I take out my small pink switch blade from my pocket. I always keep it in there. I know it's weird but you never know when you will need one. I pop th knife out and walk slowly towards were I heard the scream. I hear what sounds to be a young girl scream HELP. At that moment I start to sprint. I hear it closer then before and then silence. I slowly walk forward. I turn on my phone light to see whats in front of me and there in front of me lay the cold, dead, and bloody body of a girl about 13-14. I look and try to find the cause of death. Bit marks. Wolves must have got her. I look at her closely. Her neck was broken and most of her blood was gone. Vampires? No they arn't real. I look around and start to run back to the trail when I hear walking behind me. I pull my switch blade in front of me and turn around. Nothing. I turn around and keep running. I hear a hiss. Then two strong arms grab my waist and pull me back. I stab the its arm and it lets go and falls to the ground. Then I sprint. I don't want to look back. I just sprint back towards my house. Then I loose my balance and fall. I realize my switch blade cut my leg. I but my phone in my back pocket and I close the knife and slip it into my pocket and try to stand up. The pain is unbearable. I need to run. I stand up and run but its more of a speed walk. I don't know how far the person or thing is. I look around and I see a tall guy with curly hair standing behind me. I let out a short shriek. He lets out a laugh. Then in the speed of light he is in front of me.

"Were did you think you were going?" He says in a raspy voice

I notice that his arm was bleeding. I stabbed him.

"Back to my house because I need to call the police there was a dead girl in the woods." I say

"Oh really? She tasted quite lovely." He says with a smirk.

Wait what? Is he a cannibal? Then the thought of vampires slipped into my mind. I look at him and notice his red eyes and fangs. Shit he is a vampire. I turn and run but he grabs me again.

"Your coming with me.." He says into my ear

I let out a scream but I am hushed by his hand covering my mouth. I start to struggle and kick

"Hey look who got another snack!" Another voice says

I look and see four guys emerge from the woods.

"She smells amazing.." the one with the blonde hair says

"I know!" The one holding me says

I scream at the words just exchanged.
