"let's hope you're right i'm not too keen on death." she laughed, turning into the party.

Loud music bursted her ear drums as she immediately turned her back.

"Ah hell nah." She spoke out loudly for her friend Kani to hear.

"Girl calm down there ain't that many people here... well!" She looked around, there were a fuck turn of people here. Strippers, rappers, shit the drug dealers are all here just as she said.

"At least mr Whitlock isn't here" She whispered to herself, looking around going over to the bar.

She isn't of age to drink but that never once stopped her from having fun, though she did know her limits, plus she was driving so she decided to smile and ask for a couple of shots.

"Bottoms up bitch!" Kani shouted loudly earning a couple of stares here and there from men and women, she was pretty loud; and gorgeous so it made people stare at the two even more.

She felt a tap on her shoulder, as she turned around she saw her friends, Autumn and Stephanie.

They weren't there for her like Kani, but they definitely became close friends quickly. She smiled and gave them a hug.

"Autumn, Stephanie! How have you been? It feels like years since i seen you two." She said handing them a shot.

"I been working and just opening my own nail shop, it's hard out here. Especially in New Orleans" Autumn smiled taking back a shot as she scrunched her face up

"Ouu; that's strong." She smacked her lips wiping the juice from her mouth.

"I just been doing my own thing, can't be here for too long you know?" Stephanie shrugged, doing the same thing as Autumn though she took it more straight on.

"Yeah, i guess but you don't need to be ducking and dodging us everytime, steph." Kani rolled her eyes, they always had it out for each other.

Yvette always kept it simple and stayed out of their business, but she stepped in when Stephanie gets out of hand.

"Okay we're here to enjoy ourselves so let's party!" Yvette grabbed Kani hand leading her to the dance floor.

Looking for the hoes blasted the speakers as Yvette for hyped, bending over to throw ass.

" Shake that ass bitch
Make them hoes mad
show 'em how you fuck her baby daddy "

They all yelled as she hit a split on the ground following the movements of kani, she saw that a circle has formed around them but she didn't care.

That was until she saw some dude staring at her. He sat on the couch, with a blunt in his hand. He looked brownskin based on what she could make out in the dark. He stared right at her, not breaking eye contact.

Though, she would be turned on since he looked drop dead gorgeous, but who the fuck is he staring at?

Yvette raised her eyebrow up and popped her neck hoping he get the hint to look the other direction. But of course, he just laughed. She would've felt embarrassed if she had some shame, but lucky for her, she doesn't.

She giggled back and flipped him off continuing to dance until she felt her knees give out. She stood up walking over to the opposite side of the room of where that guy just stared at her, she sat down on the sofa letting her body breathe out.

Her eyes closed for a split second until she remembered she wasn't with her friends anymore, 2 minutes was actually 30. Kani was dancing on some darkskin guy with dreads, while Stephanie stood by her boyfriend, Autumn did god knows what. Which left her to realize where she was.

She looked over to her side and saw the same guy approaching her. You have to be kidding me. As she thought in her head she played it cool by diddling with her phone swiping and tapping her settings app for no reason.

"You don't see me standing here?" His voice was deep, almost monotonous. He had a familiar presence that she just couldn't put a finger on it.

"Do i know you?" Her head cocked sideways as she looked him up and down, her eyes widen with shock and fear as she finally remembered who he was.

"Oh.. you're Whitlock." She turned her head and lowered her tone after hearing about the very true rumors about him.

"Seems like you know me." He said as he down beside her slouching towards placing his elbows on his knees, looking her direction.

"Only the rumors, you're famous — sort of." She cleared her throat not focusing on anything but the man in front of him. The rumors did him justice, he was tall, almost light-skin with the best dreads every. His tattoos trailed his body along with his clothes that suited him perfectly. His eyes were downturned and red from the blunt he smoked, they were low yet he never broke contact once.

"You drunk?" She asked, she couldn't understand why he would walk over to her of all people.

But before she could answer Stephanie came over with her boyfriend.

"Hi Chris, you remember me? Well you know my boyfriend Alex of course, have you seen him." Stephanie batted her eyes, looking him up and down as she perked her chest out.

Yvette didn't understand what was happening, maybe she was tipsy? Because she could've sworn she dated his best friend.

"You don't see us talking?" He said as he smacked his teeth glancing to her than back to Stephanie.
