6 months after the accident

"Hi uncle Richard" jackie says quietly. "Hey, was the flight okay?" "It was fine." I interrupt. "You doing okay?" He asks. "Yup." She replies. I look up and see the Walter's. I nudge Jackie and point to them. "I think I see them, we better go." Jackie says. I sigh before looking up at the 2 parents.

"Girls, hi." She smiles and sighs before hugging both of us. I smile politely at her. " I'm so happy you're here." Katherine reassures. "Thanks Katherine." We say in sync. "So uhm," she snorts softly before looking to her husband who corrects her. "Over here." He smiles at her. "Thank you, you girls remember George." She says grabbing his shoulder softly. "Hi George,"
"Hi Ariana." I smile before looking at Katherine. As we get into the car I sigh before putting in my AirPods and begin to listen to music. I turn to Jackie who has tears in her eyes. "Jacks, please stop watching that stuff." I wipe her tears and smile at her before embracing her into a hug.

I wake up to my sister nudging me softly. "Wake up ari, we're here" I yawn and begin to walk out of the car. I look up at the house lost in my thoughts until Katherine speaks up. "Are you okay?" She questions. "Fine" Jackie says, I nod before heading up the steps. I step back quickly as a teenager comes speeding through on a skateboard. "Move!" He yells. I scoffed.

"Jackass.."

"Hi, I'm Danny." A boy reading a book says. "Jackie, this is my sister, Ariana." I wave before heading inside. George leads us inside carrying our suitcases. "Woah woah Benny stop running." He says to the little boy. "I'm not running!" He argues as he proceeds to run. George sighs before turning into a room. "Oh, hey guys, stop that for a second," I look to see two boys, one with dark hair covered in freckles. Another next to him with darker hair, way more attractive. "This is Jackie and Ariana. Girls that's Alex and Isaac." The boy turns around saying "what's up." Before his eyes widen as he looks at me. They both stand up coming towards us. "Get that other bag out the back out of the truck." They both nod coming to greet us. Isaac comes up to me shaking my hand.

"I'm Isaac, nice hair." He says. I smile laughing softly at his compliment. "Thanks, uhh nice style." He smiles before walking off with his brother "Nice hair?" Alex says laughing. "Shut the hell up, I panicked." Isaac says. I laugh to myself before following George. We walk farther into the hallway. We both look around before we hear Katherine say, "Girls I'm so sorry, I have to go," she says before turning. "Oh thank god, will's here!" She smiles before leading us to him. "Girls this is will, will this is Jackie and Ariana. Will's our oldest and he's the best." "Hi, welcome." We both greet him. "Uhm, will. I have to go to the clinic. Can you just give them a little tour and show them to their room? She's already met uhm Danny, Isaac, Alex, and uhm.."

"Benny." Jackie finishes. "Benny!" Katherine repeats. "Girls, I'm so sorry. I promise I will be back as soon as I possibly can. "Don't worry, I hope the dog is okay." I reassure her. "And hey girls, I am always around here somewhere. So if you need anything just call me. I'm going to go out to the orchard." He says before exiting. "Uncle George wait for me." The same boy from earlier skates behind him. "So, the Tony hawk wanna be is lee." Will says. "We've met." Me and Jackie both say. He laughs before leading us to the next room. "Nathan, this is Jackie and Ariana." "Hi nice to finally meet you" he gets up to greet us. "Thanks, You too!" "C'mon" We walk to the backyard following will. "Just so you know,I'm hard of hearing so if I'm not looking at you or there's a lot of background noise, I won't understand just FYI." He turns off the music. "Hey everyone, this is Jackie and Ariana. I wave at them. "That's Jordan and Parker over there, and that's Benny!" He points to them. We both turn as we see a blonde haired guys coming out of the pool. I laugh, "that's dramatic." I turn to Jackie waiting for her to laugh only to see her staring hard. I smirk nudging her. "Wanna introduce yourselves?" Will says. "She'll figure it out"

Wow dramatic and a dick. "That's Cole." Jordan comes up from behind us recording us. "Uhm hi?" "That's Jordan, aspiring film director. Leave them alone Jordan cmon!" A large dog comes out of the pool before shakinh and splashing both of us. I sigh as will hands us a towel. He leads us back to our room. We walk into the room looking at the beautiful paintings, "it was my most art studio. A loud thud makes us jump and turn around. "We're you gonna help? There's a ton of stuff to bring in. "We could do it." I offer. "No, you make yourself at home. Okay?" Will says. "Yeah, don't worry about it New York." Cole says giving a sarcastic smile. I scoff and close the door.

We both begin unpacking until we hear a knock at the door. "Can I come in." "Sure" Jackie says. "Will told me about what happened at the pool, I am so sorry about Albert. He just gets really excited sometimes." I nod. "Can I get you anything? I'm sorry that there's not more room up here yet." She says looking around. "It's fine, I'm sorry we're taking your space." I said. "Oh please, I do not have time to paint anymore with all the kids running around. I want you to have it." "How'd it go with the surgery?" Jackie asks breaking the silence. "Oh uh, it went well. Turns out Bo had a really bad ear infection, he's gonna be fine, but it was bothering him. And it was bothering his owner." She says making Jackie laugh softly. "Did you study veterinary medicine at Columbia? I saw the picture of you and my mom" Jackie asks. The mention of my mom makes me tear up a bit. "No, uhm. I got my first degree at Columbia and then I went to vet school at Colorado state. Such a long time ago." She laughs. She turns to me and Jackie. "Your girls are so much like her." I smile tears still in my eyes. "Everyone says that. Lucy looks," I pause. "Uhm, Lucy, looked more like dad." I look down. "It's not just your looks, you.. you have her poise, her bearing." Tears threaten to come out. I wipe my eyes before faking a soft smile. "Okay dinners almost ready, if you're hungry.

"We're pretty tired"

Katherine leaves closing the door behind us. I speak my voice cracking. "I miss her Jackie." Jackie begins to tear up hugging me tightly. "I know ari, I know." I start breaking down. "I'm gonna go.. clean up. Love you jacks" I leave the room going into the bathroom to wash my face. Suddenly I see Isaac. "Woah hey, are you okay?" I nod, still wanting to cry. "We can talk tonight if you want. We can talk outside." I smile a bit accepting his offer before heading to the bathroom.

After a few hours pass I begin to get ready. I put on some flare leggings with a grey sweater spraying on some perfume and putting on some shoes. I walk outside and see Isaac. "Hey, I know a place." I follow him. We begin to talk as we walk to his place. "So, what happened today." He asks. I sigh before answering. "Memories, I miss my family." I look down. "You know you always free to talk to me." I give him a warm smile. "You don't even know me. Why do you care.." I whisper. I begin to breath rapidly, tears streaming out of my eyes." He starts to hold me pulling me to sit down. "Ari, Ari? You're okay, you're okay. I promise." "You have no idea how bad it gets," I whisper. "No one cares as much as you do and you barely met me." Thank you Isaac."
