Mina’s POV
Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone. I’ll be waiting all there’s to do is run, you’ll be the prince and I’ll be the princess. It’s a lo-……
I woke up with a full blast alarm tone. I checked the time… Sh*t! 5:30 am. We need to go at 6 am. Ok I know I got 30 minutes left but I’m not a morning person so I move slowly in the morning. I got up and walked to the bathroom and got a quick shower. I put on my green ethnic printed top, a white bolero and white leggings. I think my white sandals will complete my attire. I heard the beeping of my school bus outside..
Beep..beep..beep
C’mon Mina do you wanna walk on the first day of school? Said my cousin Therese. We live on the same house. At first glance, you will think she’s a Chinese. She has brown hair, brown chinky eyes and a light complexion. She only transferred at my school last year. She can be considered as one of the pretty but boyish girls in her batch.
Sure I’ll walk so I can reach the school tomorrow! I shouted.
Bye Mina! I know she’s not joking. She’s gonna leave me, so I hurried.
Yeah I’m coming! It’s a little hot today so I better bring my umbrella.
The drive was not that bad. It’s the typical one hour ride. After three years I got used to it already. In our country we only have four years in high school. So this is my last year, I’m a senior now. I waved bye to my cousin. I looked at the board in front of the principal’s office and I discovered I’m in Class A. I’m not that smart but still smart. I’m good at literature and home economics and I like math but I think mathematics doesn’t like me. Haha My classroom is in fourth floor. I entered the classroom. Most of us are already there. I noticed a new Korean classmate. I approached her.
Hi, good morning! I’m Mina. She hesitated but shakes my hand.
I’m Sheila. I noticed that she wouldn’t say anything after that so I just sat beside my best friend Faith.
She has white complexion. She’s considered as one of the smartest students in our batch. Although we are very much different like, I’m a fashion person and she’s not, she likes Korean pop songs while me I don’t understand a single lyric when it comes to that type of songs but we’re still best friends. I can sense that she and Sheila will be great friends. The day went off well, except that I don’t feel good. Our classroom is newly painted so you can imagine the smell in there. Oh and just another fact about me, I’m asthmatic so the next day I got sick. What a beautiful start of my last year in this school, I’m here at home while my friends are there in school having classes.
Seph’s POV
Seph! Seph wake up! I heard my mom’s voice on the other side of the door. I still feel sleepy so I ignored it. Then I felt two strong hands holding my feet. In a second I heard a loud thud. Once I opened my eyes I saw that I’m on the floor. Hunter had done it again.
What the hell man? I said to Hunter. He’s my older brother, three years older than me. He’s a little bit taller than me and has black hair. I’m not good at describing a person. I mean c’mon I wouldn’t waste time staring at my brother and analyzing his looks. That would be the work of the girls that’s always checking him out.
Consider it as a favour. You don’t want to be late; it’s your first day as a senior. He then walked out my room smirking. He knows that I’m really excited about this senior issue. I got up of my bed. All I need was ten minutes and I’m ready. I wore a blue and gray shirt, my new jeans and my favourite rubber shoes that Hunter gave me.
I arrived at school and students scattered everywhere, Chatting about their summer vacations, and how they met new people. I went straight to fourth floor then in my class room. I already new that I’m in Class A because of London, my ever excited batch mate, posted last night on facebook the list of Class A students. I’m not thrilled that I’m in this class because most of my closest friends are in Class B, but since I’m a positive person, I’m just thinking that maybe there’s a reason why I’m here.
The class started. It wasn’t exciting, just a few get to know each other ( it’s not like we don’t know each other for almost four years) , orientation about new school rules and new schedule of classes. Our classroom is newly renovated. The smell of paint is still fresh. Our room’s painted in peach, there’s a new LCD and all the chairs are ordered from a city known from building sturdy wood furniture. Our new adviser and teacher in literature dismissed us. Her name is Mrs. Pennsville. She’s average in height, tan and has black long curvy hair. She’s a teacher with character.
