The doorbell sounded throughout the townhouse.
Junsu inhaled sharply. "He's here!" he exclaimed quietly and wiped his sweaty palms on his jeans, his heart beating erratically against his rib cage.
He walked to the door, took a deep breath and let it out before turning the knob to open the door. Yoochun stood there with his arms behind his back at first.
"This is for you," he said, bringing his arms to the front, holding a single red rose.
"O-oh," Junsu took the rose. "Thank you."
Junsu couldn't believe a single rose would make his heart do flips. He had never received a flower from a guy before though he had always been curious as to how it would feel. And now he knew. It simply made him feel special, that he was someone special to Yoochun. He tried to hide the smile but Yoochun caught it, only he chose not to say anything about it.
"Shall we?" the elder asked with a smile, offering his left arm for his date to hook his arm around, which Junsu found to be very gentlemanly for this day in age. When they reached Yoochun's car, Yoochun opened the door to the passenger side for Junsu as well. The younger was very impressed since that was something many guys don't do as well.
When they drove off, Junsu noticed that Yoochun was driving away from the city and towards the foothills. As they left the city, wide open green fields of wild flowers came into view. The sun was setting in the direction opposite they were going.
Junsu examined the rose in his hand.
"So where are we going?" Junsu asked casually though he was still quite very nervous.
"Well, I thought perhaps we could get away from the city and enjoy what the country has to offer us."
Junsu just nodded. "Interesting," and watched the view outside of the car.
Yoochun's lips curled into a small smile. "We'll be going to my family's country estate. It'll be just the two of us and the house staff."
When the car pulled up to a white Southern plantation estate, Junsu couldn't believe his eyes. He heard the door of the car opened though not really paying attention whom opened it (Yoochun). He stepped out of the car, still eying the house in awe. After a couple of seconds, he heard somebody clearing his throat. It was Yoochun.
Junsu's flushed from embarrassment. "Umm...Your family has a beautiful country estate."
Yoochun smiled. "Thanks. I'll let them know you think so."
He offered a hand to Junsu and the younger took it. They walked hand-in-hand inside the house. Yoochun lead his date out into the backyard. The sun had completely set by now. On the deck, a candle-lit dinner was set for two.
Yoochun pulled out Junsu's chair for him.
"I would have cooked dinner tonight, but the food would have gotten cold by the time I picked you up and returned," Yoochun explained as he sat in his seat across from Junsu. "So I had our chef cook what I had wanted to cook."
Junsu looked at Yoochun with wide eyes. "You can cook?!"
The elder chuckled. "Oh, Suie, anybody who can read directions can cook, but, yes, I can. I got bored one summer and asked our cook to teach me. Man, that was one hella of a summer. Kitchen fires, you know what I mean?"
Junsu laughed a little as he tried to imagine Yoochun learn how to cook, something he's always wanted in a man.
Just then, the Park house staff walked out with dinner: chicken alfredo and garlic bread.
