Panting, Gasping and struggling. The sounds of heels hitting down upon the grass, The wind loud as the girl ran, looking over her shoulder every now and then. Oblivious to any of her surroundings, desperately trying to escape whatever is troubling her. A thud was heared, along with a pained grunt as the girl rolled down on the grass for a moment, laying flat on her back, holding her arm whilst wincing in pain before she turned her head to the side, watching as another boy sat up, rubbing his head from the impact of the fall. The girl's eyebrows raised as she stood up, walking over towards the other boy, holding him by his arm to support him.
"I'm truly sorry, I wasn't looking!" the girl said apologetically, sounding troubled as she glanced around before fixing her gaze back upon the other boy.
The boy looked at her, his eyebrows furrowing slightly, a look of confusion crossing his expression before it softened as he gave a subtle shake of his head. "It's alright, I'm not hurt." he assured, rubbing his head once again before speaking. "What's got you so troubled? You seem.. Scared." the boy said, concern flashing on his face as he awaited for an answer. The girl remained silent, contemplating what to say before she took in a deep breath.
"Some girls have been running after me.." the girl said quietly, lowering her head a tad bit. "Just because I defended myself against one of them, she got her friends and another boy to beat me up." she mumbled as she started to fidget anxiously with the ring she wore, her gaze drifting down to the grass.
The boy's expression hardened at the story before he tilted his head to the side, trying to get a better look at the girl before him as he tried speaking in a comforting tone, "Hey it's okay, you lost them now, I'm su-"the boy was cut off by a shout coming from behind, the girl lifted her gaze up as the boy turned towards the shouts' direction. seeing three girls and a boy walk towards them, The girl's face turned pale as she took afew steps back, her eyes darting between the four kids walking towards her and the boy. The boy's body seemed to stiffen, a gut feeling washing over him as the other boy reached, his hand extended out, trying to grab the girl which quickly took cover behind the boy who looked over his shoulder towards her before fixing his gaze back upon the group who had approached them. "May I help you?" The boy asked, his face full of annoyance as the other boy, who was larger and taller than him stared him down, giving him a once up, almost sizing him up before letting out a scoff. "Hand me the girl." he barked, crossing his arms across his chest to seem more intimidating as the three girls stood behind him, all of their eyes were following each move the terrified girl was making.
"Why must I?" the boy replied sharply, staring the other up and down, almost mimicking him as he kept the girl hidden after him, making sure to protect her from any harm. The other taller boy gritted his teeth in irritation before gripping the boy's collar, shoving him aside before tugging on the girl's wrist as he forced her after him. "Just stay outta this, you freak." he said aggressively as he continued to pull the girl after him which was struggling, wriggling and twisting her wrist to pull herself out of the grasp upon her.
"Let me go!" the girl yelled, fear dripping from her voice as her struggles grew.
The boy threw her on the ground, causing her to wince in pain as one of the girls took a handful of her hair, forcing her head up with a loud chuckle. "Aw, is the little princess scared?" the girl said mockingly, the other two walking up to the pained girl with devilish grins and smirks as they laughed. "Look at her, as scared as a stray dog!" one of the three spoke.
"Let her go!" the yell was loud from the boy who managed to pick himself up as he quickly pulled the girl out of the grip she was held in, the girls were in shock at the sudden event, a frown tugging down on their faces as the older boy scowled, his fingers curling in fists, "How dare you, you-"
"Kevin!" a deep and rumbling voice yelled, causing the boy to freeze as concern flashed on his face while the rest of the girls ran away before the boy faced the direction the shout came from as a man approached, "You can't be serious with me!" the man exclaimed furiously before dragging the boy by his arm, grumbling and scolding coming from the man as they disappeared as fast as they came.
