It's Halloween night and you were staying inside tonight, instead of going to a party or trick or treating, since you invited Sidney over for a movie night.
Ever since you can remember, you have had romantic feelings for Sidney, but since it was the 90's, you couldn't be open about them, so of course, you've had boyfriends, but they never worked out, because they weren't Sidney.
Now, Billy had broken up with Sidney a few months prior, it was about time, you told her how you felt about her. Of course, you were completely terrified that she might not feel the same or was a homophobe but, you couldn't hold in how you felt about her anymore.
You stood in your medium size room, as you placed the pink and purple bean bags next to each other, but leaving some room in between them, for the bowl of popcorn or M & M's candy, with both of your bottle of Coke-a-Cola sitting next to your respective bean bag chairs.
You looked around your room, making sure that it was cleaned and nothing was laying out. You glanced over at the analog clock you had up on the wall, as you realized Sidney should be here any moment now. You felt your heart beating inside of your chest, staring at the analog clock, as it would make the time move faster, when it clearly doesn't.
A few moments later, you were snapped out of your thoughts, as you heard a knock at your bedroom door, making you jump a bit. You walked over to the door and opened it, as it revealed to be Sidney on the other side of it. Sidney gave you a small smile and said to you "Hey Y/N." You gulped and said to her nervously "H-Hey Sidney."
Sidney stared at you, wondering if you were okay or not, because she has never seen you this nervous, before. Sidney asked you concerned "Is everything okay?" You replied nervously, clearly lying to her "Y-Yeah, everything is okay-.." Sidney remained silent, staring at you, clearly not believing the lie, but drop the subject.
Sidney asked curiously "So, can I come in?" You realized that you were blocking her from coming into your room. You moved out of the way and said to her nervously "Y-Yeah, uh, come in." Sidney then let out a low chuckle, and you wished you could hear that for the rest of your life.
Once she was in the room, you closed the door behind you, before turning around and standing next to her, as she observed the layout of your room. She said to you "Nice room." You felt relief as she liked the way your bedroom looked. Sidney soon walked over to the movie set up, and looked at you. She then asked you curiously, trailing off at the end "So, does it matter which bean bag we sit on or-..?"
You answered her "Uh, no, it doesn't matter." Sidney nodded her head in understanding, before she sat down on the purple bean bag chair. She stared at you and asked you curiously "Are you coming or what?" You let out a low chuckle and replied "Yeah." You then walked over to the movie set up.
Sidney asked curiously "So, what movie are we gonna watch?" You remained silent, as you picked up the movie, you had picked out beforehand and placed it into the VHS tape into the player and started the movie. You walked back over to the bean bag chairs and sat down on the pink one, as the movie title appeared on the screen.
Sidney eyes widen in fear as she saw the title of the movie, before she looked over at you. Sidney said to you with fear in her voice "S-Saw, but it's scary." You looked over to her and said to her, reassuring her "It's okay, I'll be right next to you." Sidney grumbled in response, but accepted that this was the movie you had picked out.
Sidney replied "Fine." You looked away, as you had a proud smile on your face, as your plan was working in your favor. As the movie began playing, you looked over at Sidney, as she stared directly at the tv screen. "She's so pretty." You then thought to yourself, as your eyes traveled from her face and downwards, before, they looked back at the tv screen.
After an hour and forty-three minutes, the movie was finally over. The bowl of popcorn was just now left in the bowl, both of your coke's were nearly emptied, and the M & M bowl was emptied. Sidney looked over at you, glaring at you. You looked over at her and asked innocently "What?" Sidney picked up a piece of kernel from the bowl, throwing it at you, but it miss, due to you dodging it.
You let out a low chuckle and gave her a small smile. Sidney asked you curiously "Why the heck would you pick that one, knowing that I don't like scary movies Y/N?" You shrugged your shoulders and answered her "Well, because I love horror films Sidney." Sid rolled her eyes in annoyance, but knew that you were like your brother Randy, and liked horror films.
You two both sat in awkward silence after that. You rubbed the back of your neck, nervously and said to her "I uh, I need to talk to you, about something." Sid soon raised her eyebrows up and asked confused "What about?" You remained silent, trying to figure out how to tell Sidney that you have more than friendly feelings towards her.
Sidney said to you "Y/N, come on, you can talk to me." You let out a sigh and said "I know." Sidney said/asked to you "Good, so what did you want to talk to me about?" You bit the bottom of your lip, but not hard enough, so it would draw blood. You then said to her nervously "Well, I uh...I have more than friend feelings towards you."
Sidney remained silent, trying to process the fact that you have romantic feelings towards her. Sidney asked you unsure "Really?" You replied nervously, hoping she wouldn't be a homophobe "Yeah, really."
Sidney grin ear to ear at you and said to you "That's great to hear." You stared at her confused. You asked her intrigued "Why?" Sidney then replied to you "Because, I have romantic feelings towards you as well."
Your eyes lit up, as she told you, that your feelings are reciprocated. You asked her curiously "So, do you want to be my girlfriend?" Sidney let out a low chuckle and replied "Yeah, I do." You then leaned over and captured her soft pink lips with yours, as she immediately kissed you back, passionately.
You two pulled away from the kiss, breathlessly, as you stared into each other's eyes, with smiles on your faces. You two then hung out in your room for awhile, before Sidney had to go back home.
