You stare blankly at the stray dog in front of you, daring it to bark.
The story was this, you were waiting in your room (for everyone to sleep) when you got thirsty and went to the kitchen to drink some water, only to find an unexpected person near the front door handle.
"Papa?", you had asked, surprised as you stopped in your tracks. Loid froze for a second before turning to you with a nervous smile.
"I got a sudden call, so I'm headed to work.", he says, making you realize he may have a mission right now.
"Oh, uh, good luck then. I'm just gonna grab some water.", you point with your thumb to the kitchen, and he nods before heading out.
You wait for one, two, three minutes before you breathe out the surprised exhale you were holding. 'That was scary!'
'But it also gives me the chance to escape!' you grin, grabbing the bottle of water from the fridge. When you were done drinking, you immediately head out of the front door as well, shutting it lightly so you can come back. Then, you sprint down the stairs.
When you came out of the building and onto the sidewalk of the road, you found a dog lying there, and it slowly woke up to the sound of your footsteps trying to get away.
Now, you were both glaring at each other, the dog seeming ready to attack and you ready to defend yourself, although you didn't know how to fight and were honestly scared.
The dog begins to walk towards you slowly, causing you to take nervous steps back. 'Shoot! What do I do now...'
Then, as it gets closer and speeds up it's pace, your eyes narrow. 'Come on Y/N, you killed a whole person before, a small dog like this shouldn't scare you...'
You prepare yourself to fight, but the dog soon leaped in the air, causing you immense terror, which in turn made you run like your life depended on it.
'SCREW FIGHTING! MAMA HELP!' you screamed internally, but didn't dare let a sound outside. If anyone were to hear your scream and come outside, it would be extremely hard to explain yourself. Still, you were terrified as you ran as fast as you can, heart thundering and stamina rapidly reducing.
If only you were more active in your childhood, you would have held a chance against the stupid dog! But still, there was no use blaming yourself, you needed to get away now.
You saw a corner in your vision and decided to go through it. Maybe if you were fast enough, you would lose the dog.
Just as you turned the corner, you didn't notice the blur of a person coming towards you and bumped into them, making you stumble. Thankfully, the person was swift and steadied you before you fell.
