"It hurts Sooyoung-ah!"

A Kim Dokja who's had one too many drinks whined to his friend, Han Sooyoung.

He downs his cocktail in one gulp.

"Damn sunfish bastard...I just don't get him at all, he's so bipolar! Sometimes he's so nice and sweet, saying sappy shit like 'get home safe' or checking up on me when no one else does. And then some other time he's just an asshole. I don't get him, I don't get him at all..."

Kim Dokja's frown deepens and he grits his teeth in frustration. He orders another cocktail and the bartender happily obliges.

"Sooyoung-ah, what should I do?" He crosses his arms and lays down on the table. Only in these particularly vulnerable moments does Dokja actively seek out advice from Sooyoung of all people.

She takes a sip of her beer with a frown. The words 'how about you take my advice from last time and confess already' stay in her head. She knows there's no hope of making this guy take the initiative.

(She'd never admit it but she knows this advice would upset her friend and chooses not to say it because of that.)

"Maybe I should just give up on this guy already, it's been 5 years and I'm pretty sure he hates me too." Kim Dokja mumbles depressingly.

This isn't the first time she's heard him say such a thing. 'I'm over him' says Kim Dokja 'I can find someone better' he exclaims. But in the end he always ends up complaining about how he has Yoo Joonghyuk stuck in his head, so she doesn't worry about that comment, especially when she knows that bastard he's talking about feels the furthest thing away from 'hate' about him.

Han Sooyoung sighs, "I'm sure he doesn't hate you, stupid. It's just the way he acts, you know that too." Is the most she can say without directly telling him that Yoo Joonghyuk has a silly little crush on him too because what kind of friend would she be if she just outed him like that?

"I do but it's just so hard to deal with sometimes, pick a side goddamn it!" Kim Dokja slams his fists on the table and starts throwing a 'tantrum', as per Sooyoung's pov.

She can only hide a fond smile creeping up on her face. As annoying as they are, Han Sooyoung wouldn't trade them for the world.

'But you love all sides of this bastard.' She thinks to herself with a knowing smirk. And a frown. Because ew they're so in love.

"Okay I think that's enough alcohol for the night." She gets up and brings Dokja's arms over her neck.

He whines 'nooo, I wanna staaay' and 'lemme goooo' like a drunk little shit.

And Han Sooyoung, like a sly little snake, takes Kim Dokja's credit card and pays for all their bills and calls a cab for them, also with his card.

She drops her drunk-ass friend off to his apartment before returning to her own.

Sooyoung doesn't even bother showering before she falls listlessly onto her bed. Too tired to do anything else. Listening to your friend yap is a surprisingly tiring job.

She thinks about Joonghyuk briefly but shuts the thought. (Because ewwww they're so in love and dumb it's hard to deal with). She falls asleep thinking about her beautiful girlfriend Yoo Sangah instead.
