(Just so you all know I'm not in college and I know next to nothing about how colleges work but here we are)
Miraculously, our trio of squid, sunfish, and cat somehow share one class together, every Wednesday. It also happens to be the sunfish's only class with the squid.
Continuing from last chapter, Han Sooyoung walks to lecture the next day with her bag in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. She's in her usual outfit today, purple hoodie, jeans, and a white trench coat.
She arrives to the lecture hall about 15 minutes early. She opens the door and sees Kim Dokja sitting at his usual spot with his head on the desk, probably hungover. Han Sooyoung chuckles to herself silently, amused at his miserable state. She walks over to her usual seat, behind him and Yoo Joonghyuk.
"Morning." She sits down. Kim Dokja grumbles inaudibly in response. "How ya feelin'? Hungover?" He grumbles a bit and forces out a "No shit." Sounding a tad bit irritated.
Sooyoung chuckles and they chitchat for a little. Mostly just Kim Dokja complaining and dying.
After a while, the door opens to reveal Yoo Joonghyuk in his usual full black outfit (so emo). He scans the room briefly and glares at the two early birds.
No one else notices but Han Sooyoung, having been friends with this man for a long time and knowing a certain, unspeakable secret, she sees the slightest softening and playfulness in Yoo Joonghyuk's eyes. Not only that, but the light shade of pink on his ear doesn't go unnoticed by her either. She smirks at him knowingly, earning a scowl.
He heads over to his usual spot, next to Kim Dokja (where he belongs lol). "Hey" Han Sooyoung says playfully. Yoo Joonghyuk grunts in response and "glared" at Kim Dokja. "What's wrong with him?" Kim Dokja turns towards him slightly, scowling. "He's hungover" Sooyoung says in his stead while he glares at Joonghyuk.
"...it's your fault." Dokja says spitefully.
"What?"
"Nothing."
Their professor walked in the lecture hall and Kim Dokja turned his head forward, not caring to take out his notes since his head is hurting so much.
Yoo Joonghyuk however, kept staring at Kim Dokja, both in confusion and adoration because who wouldn't agree that pouty Dokja is a cutie.
Han Sooyoung definitely would. The woman is currently glaring daggers at both of them but they're too distracted to notice. The life of a third wheel is quite frustrating. It's like watching a romcom series with 7 seasons and the two leads still haven't even held hands yet.
'They're so in love it's disgusting.' She thinks to herself, completely disregarding the fact that she and Yoo Sangah are about equally, if not more, lovey-dovey than they are.
The lecture started and Yoo Joonghyuk, though reluctant, tore his eyes away from Kim Dokja.
"Alright class, take out your notes and a pencil, we're finishing up the lecture today and we'll have a test next week. At the end of class I'll hand everyone a practice test."
Everyone in the lecture hall let out a miserable, devastated groan.
As their professor started the lecture, Kim Dokja, whose headache is progressively getting worse, finally takes out his notes since today's lecture is so important. His frown deepens, his expression is starting resemble Joonghyuk's now. (Quite disturbing)
Kim Dokja forces his body up straight and grabs his pencil. Yoo Joonghyuk, noticing his miserable state, let out a sigh.
"Kim Dokja."
