As Bill, Harlow, Richie and Eddie walked towards the front door in a hurry, the television that Eddie's mom was watching roared and echoed through the room. "Eddie Bear, where are you and your friends off to in such a rush?" She asked as Eddie stood still.
"Uhm.. J-J-Just my backyard Mrs. K. I got a new..." Bill blurted out, not knowing what to say after. "A new croquet set, jeez spill it out b-b-bill" Richie said, helping Bill. "Okay.. Oh and sweetie, dont go rolling around the grass, especially if its just been cut. You know how bad your allergies can get" Mrs. K looked at Eddie, then at Harlow. Harlow clutched Richies back and her shorts.
"Yes mom.. Lets go-" Eddie started. "Arent you forgetting something?" Mrs. K looked at Eddie. Eddie stopped at his tracks and sighed. He walked over to his mother and placed a small peck on her cheek. Richie snickered and covered his mouth. Eddie looked at him with raging eyes.
"Do you want one from me too, Mrs K?" Richie smiled and Eddie pushed the three of them out of the house. "Go go go" "I was kidding!" Mrs. K shrugged and Eddie looked back "Sorry Mommy." And closed the door.
Bill, Eddie, Stan, Richie and Harlow biked to where they were going. Harlow had left her bike at home since she wants to make it look like she's home so her mother won't go full ruckus. She was behind Richie as he pedalled. Harlow and Richie could feel someone staring at them badly. Harlow's hair flew as they went down hill. She felt a gaze upon her.
But it wasnt the same as earlier. She felt sick, and cold. She felt something in her stomach.

Ben was sitting alone at the Derry Library. He was writing a letter. After he finishes, he reads it to himself

Ben then heard happy shouts from outside. It was the losers biking downhill. "Hi-ho Silver!" Silver is Bills bike. Ben looked up at the window and saw them shouting happily. "Away!"
"Your old lady's bike is too fast for us!" Richie told Bill. Harlow held onto Richie's waist tighter as he peddled faster. "I thought my mom said to look out for me if i get hurt, seems like you're going to be the reason I'm hurt!" Harlow yelled a bit. Richie chuckled and peddled faster.
Ben looked down and then suddenly the librarian smacked the book down next to him, making him flinch and put his attention back to the librarian.
"Found it. Isnt it summer vacation?" The librarian asks. "I would think you'd be ready to take a break from the books." Ben played with his pen. "I like it here." He answers truthfully. "A boy should be spending his summer outside with friends... Dont you have any friends?" Ben looked down and sighed to himself "can i have the book now?"
The librarian walked away as he retracted her hand away from the book. Ben then took the book and started flipping through the pages. The book was about old happenings in Derry. On one of the pages, read: 142. Easter Egg Hunt celebration at the Derry Iron works. April 3rd 1908.
