REYNA BLACK WANTED TO HATE HARRY POTTER.
She had not always held a grudge against Harry — in fact, they used to be as thick as thieves. Reyna met Harry on the Hogwarts Express just before their first year started, and ever since then, nobody would ever see one of them without the other.
Third year was when things between them began changing. Butterflies would flutter around Reyna's stomach whenever she interacted with him, her cheeks turning pink, and she couldn't help but notice how Harry was always on her mind. You like him, Hermione Granger had told her one night, the two girls hiding underneath Hermione's bed sheets while all the other girls were asleep. Reyna denied it, over and over, but when Harry's lips met hers at the Yule Ball, there was no more denying.
Nobody had been surprised when they found out Harry Potter was dating Reyna Black. It had been obvious to everyone, expect the two of them, for four years. The way they looked at each other, the way they'd do anything to protect each other — it was obvious they were more than friends.
For her fourth and fifth years, Reyna was sure that she was the happiest girl in Hogwarts. She had the boyfriend of her dreams, and was surrounded by the best friends she could've asked for. It was the type of love that the poets would write about, and Reyna was sure that their love would be for evermore.
It all went downhill at the end of their fifth year, when Reyna had to watch her aunt kill her uncle, Sirius Black, in front of her eyes. To top it off, Harry decided to break up with her later that day with no reason. After that, Hermione and Ron began to distance themselves too, clearly picking a side.
Reyna did not bother to speak to the others during their sixth year, and the others did not make much effort either — that was until the very end of the year, at least, when the three cornered her, asking if she had written the note signed R.A.B.

author's note, i !! hate !! writing !! summaries !! they genuinely are the bane of my existence bc why on earth are they so hard to write?? i will def be rewriting it one day when i'm bothered anyway, i've published this fic before and took it down after a week 😭 but i've changed some things around and i think i like it more now so let's hope that i don't take this down after a few days 🤞
