I stay seated as the pilot approaches. I coolly put my backpack on and grab my soft lavender JanSport. "Yes, this is all I have, so don't ask," I tell him, sensing the question asked millions of times before. He nods and gestures towards the slowly lowering stairway. I linger at the top of the stairs a moment before starting down them, met by a butler-looking man standing in front of a blue town car. Go figure. I immediately vow to call him Jeeves as he opens the door for me. "Miss..." He says in a British accent. "Oh... it's Arabella, but you can call me Ari" He nods and closes the door.
The ride to the house is usually an awkward silence so I start a conversation he might be a bit interested in, "Anything I should know before arriving?" He glances at me to see if I'm serious or not; once he sees that I am solemn he starts. "The mother and father have a hard time getting children, they have only had one after many tries. They try to foster whenever they can but never adopt because they don't want longterm responsibility for a child that isn't theirs. The mother's name is Blaze Capurten, the father's is Arian Capurten. Only call them "mother" and "father"; and no other version of that such as mom, mommy, mama, dad, daddy or papa." He stops for a breather then sets off again. "Your new brother is named Mystery but only goes by Mister. He is sixteen and tries to act like his father so don't call him out on it. He can be pretty threatening. That's pretty much it." I nod and notice that we have slowed and are in a wealthy looking neighborhood. When we have pulled into the drive way I ask, "So am I supposed to open the door myself or wait for you to do it?" Jeeves chuckles and replies, "I haven't met someone as straightforward as you; and you can take pleasure in opening it yourself if you like." I smile and we walk up the stairs to the front door. As he pulls out a set of keys he says, "Oh, and remember to always knock before entering a room that isn't yours. They like their privacy." I recall all the other information that was given to me and take a moment. I am suddenly grateful for my photographic memory. As soon as we step foot inside Jeeves starts the grand tour. "Alright, so you have the second bedroom on the right. There is a bathroom attached. Mister has the first room to the left and the Mr. and Mrs. have the second on the left. The kitchen is right off the foyer and if you need anything call me." I try to comprehend what Jeeves said as I look around, met by the kitchen on the left, ginormous stairs in the middle and a large guest bathroom on the right. I look over to Jeeves, "Could I have some food?"
