As you can see in the photo, I highlighted a few things. Now, I don't know many things since I'm kinda new to this fandom. And I got MANY spoilers when I thought I'd never join the fandom.
I kinda messed up with my highlighting so I'm sorry!! —
I look at the wiki to read their personalities and also look at the shipping wiki to read their relationships. I'll be skipping a few things that I have highlighted. In green, I highlighted 'Leona holds resentment towards Malleus for his position as Briar Valley's crown heir.'
Why have I highlighted this? It helps me remember and understand how Leona feels about Malleus. For me right now, it seems like Leona is jealous of Malleus, but this is just my personal interpretation.
I also highlighted in red and green 'Leona seemingly has a one-sided rivalry with Malleus, as well as a deep dislike towards him.' This suggests and (I believe) shows that Malleus doesn't really dislike Leona, and this certain sentence caught my attention.
I'll be skipping A LOT that I have highlighted but don't worry, I'll come back to it later.

I apologize if this seems like a lot, but I did this to show what stuff I have seen. Now, in yellow, I highlighted and outlined something that I'm pretty sure it connects to the other sentence.
Someone said, 'They get to relate to each other since they're both basically princes. I noticed how Malleus is very eager when talking with Leona.' This caught my interest and attention, and since Leona and Malleus can relate to each other, it opens up a new chapter (or possibility).
On the other hand, in the other sentence it says 'One-sided', which clearly indicates that Leona is the one who highly dislikes Malleus, but Malleus doesn't feel that way towards Leona. Because Malleus seems eager when talking to Leona. Even if this is never going to happen, Malleus might want to be friends with Leona.
I've probably said this many times, but I highlighted 'Malleus is shown to understand Leona's thought process. They relate to each other's limitations.' They clearly relate to each other, and Malleus understands Leona. This also proves (or supports) another thing that I found and highlighted.
I highlighted 'Leona knows Malleus's brand of humor. Leona was also the first to catch on to Malleus's possession bluff,' which shows that Leona understands and knows Malleus well (and probably his personality too).
On the wiki page for Leona, in the 'Trivia' section, you can find 'According to Sebek, Malleus frequently approaches Leona.' I have also highlighted that sentence. That small sentence could mean anything—the possibilities are endless. Based on the fact that Malleus approaches Leona frequently, even though Leona dislikes Malleus, I feel like Malleus wants to be friends with Leona. But this is just my personal interpretation and I don't know much about the situation. I'm just reading some things I've found and making assumptions.
