Once I stepped into the cold dreery hallways, I knew this wasn't a good idea. But who was I to judge? I just entered the school at about ten till eight and there was already creeking steps, cracked ceilings, fogged up windows, and nothing but the chatter of voices. I felt like my stomache was churning and it was more faster than the old carnival ride back in Cali. I then right away noticed the office building and saw to bored looking ladies. The name tags stated Angela Freeman and Sandra Brughe.

"Uh, I am Tiffany Brooks. I am new and I was told to come to the office to recieve my schedule and belongings for classes, like my textbooks and papers." I nervously said as I messed with my medium long brunett hair. All I knew was that Mrs. Freeman had no interest in me so why should I bother trying to make conversation?

"Here you go Mrs. Brooks." She dully said and handed me a folder and it had my schedule and extra papers for my parents to adress and then she handed me two overlysized textbooks that clearified math to science and then she handed me another that said geography and bio. I was now nervous..er.

"Do I need anything else? I just am asking for what my mother told me to ask for." I studderd.

"Not that I know of." She continued typing so I rolled my deep brown eyes and walked through the big doors once more until I realized all of the hallways were completely cleared. I decided before heading to class that I would take a short trip around the school and find each class and bathroom around. I walked around a couple corners before finding Biology. Room 202, Mr. Jean. I was anxious to have a guy teacher. Never in my life have I had to deal with guy teachers. I then found each and everyone one of my other classes before heading back to Bio and getting to my seat before class ends. I finally reached my desination and my hairs on the back of my neck stood straight up and I began to shake of curiousity. I soon decided to open the door to find each individual pair of eyes set on me and only me. Even Mr. Jean raised his eyebrow at me and I just smiled slightly and handed him my note from the office.

"Late on the first day, Mrs. Brooks?" He asked with his eyebrow still raised.

"Well, better late than never actually showing." I chuckled but he just shook his head in disapproval.

"Not a good habbit." He firmly said and then continued. "Take your seat next to Jan in the front first column.

"I won't make any promises, I never could stop biting nails until just last year. Habbits can last for years." I smirked and he was not pleased.

"Excuse me?" He growled.

"I mean, yes sir." I smiled fakely and noticed a couple of chuckles all throughout the classroom.

"Very well then, lets continue on with our lesson. Try to keep up Tiffany." Mr. Jean then turned back towards the board and kept shaking his head at our past conversation. So far I am not pleased with him or the fact of having a guy teacher.

"Hi, I am Jannessa, feel free to call me Jan." The tall girl with short hair that was auborn with rainbow streaks throughout her hair. She also wore jean shorts with black tights and a band shirt. She seemed to be on her own track. Not following what others do. She so far has won my respect.

"Hi, Tiffany." I said firmly and short that way I don't studder.

"Hey Tiffany. Mr. Jean can be a real hastle huh? I have no interest in him either." And she has officially won my respect.

"Yeah, you bet. He is actually rude." I didn't studder this time! I was proud of myself.

"He has always been like that, no idea why though." Jan adimitted and sighed at him talking about a lesson that looks like a week old.
