DAY 2
BK
That short stack of pancakes really pissed me off yesterday. I had stayed in the cell so I wouldn't have to interact with her goofy ass anymore for the day. I couldn't let anybody ruin my good track. That's why I got moved to this pod. My behavior was improving.
If she would've met the old me, she definitely would've got her little ass smacked against the toilet seat. But that wasn't me anymore. I realized my priorities, and that there was a child of mine at home waiting to see their mother again. It's already been four long years, I need to be there for my baby.
I came out of the cell as I was ordered to. I stayed to myself, observing my surroundings. It was clear this pod had politics. I hated that. How the hell we got a system in the system? 'Bout dumb as hell if you asked me.
I didn't follow the rules that were laid amongst the inmates. It was pointless.
"Hey, sexy mamaaa!" I looked up. I didn't know this girl at all. She sat next to me, but not too close. Her hair was bright red that stopped right at the middle of her back, she had a piercing in her face, and she had an ivory complexion. Pretty wasn't even the word. "I'm Cherry! But you can call me whatever you want." The girl cheesed.
"Aight. Imma call you a slut." I snickered but she smirked. "As long as I get to be your slut." She said seductively.
"Cherry! Leave that girl alone!" I heard someone yell. I laughed and she rolled her eyes. "She good over here!" I called back.
Cherry began to bicker on about this pod and tell me who's who. I took note of everything she said. I was honestly glad she started talking herself. Otherwise, I wouldn't ask nothing about anything.
"You've already met her. But that's Maraj. We call her Da Sleeze in here though. She runs everything, the meanest bitch I know for real. I was shocked you talked to her like that yesterday. Don't nobody step to her like that." She informed me while pointing to the tiny human from yesterday. "If you fuck with her, you become a Barbie. If you don't, you're a Troll. Some of these bitches in here are trolls. Real grimy, real nasty and they bum bitches!"
"I don't care about that politics shit. The fuck i look like listening to her when we both in this bitch wearing orange? We on the same field, man." I shook my head. "But thank for the heads up. I don't think she knows who I am, but she better chill on me before she finds out."
I stuck with Cherry the whole day. She was like my guide, and the way she followed my every move was cute. She linked our arms together as we walked around the room.
"Sleeze. Look at her, all up on the new girl. Looks like Cherry's got a new flavor." Myra laughed. Everyone the table was watching us.
The redhead brought me over to the peeping group. She sat me down then slid into my lap. I didn't mind it. Who wouldn't want a pretty girl sitting on them? I rested my hand around her waist, nothing too much.
She leaned forward and scooted her butt against me to be more comfortable. I say there, not really engaging with the group.
"You don't speak?" I was asked by Myra. I looked at her. "Hey, how you doing?" I smiled at her. Usually, I wouldve slapped her for talking to me like that. But remember, I'm growing.
She was surprised by my manners. "I don't do all that sweet talk, boo." She mugged me and I nodded.
"That's okay." I shrugged. I looked around the table and greeted everyone properly. Even the Slug. That's her name, right?
Sleeze. Her ass.
She didn't give me a response but I honestly wasn't worried. She didn't mean anything to me. Why would I care about her feelings?
I turned my attention to the television that was playing a random movie. It was a lot calmer in this pod than my last one. The one I came from was for the wild people. All you could hear was screaming, yelling, fighting. At least two people get stabbed every day in that mug. I don't know how I survived. Maybe because I minded my business.
"You don't even know that girl, Cherry. Now you talking about marriage." Sleeze said. "For all you know, she could be an opp bitch like the rest of 'em."
"If she a dog, Imma dog too." Cherry snickered, high fiving Selma. The girls collectively groaned and rolled their eyes at the sickening woman.
"Get up, mama." I tapped the side of her thigh. She nodded. "Okay, baby mama." She stood up. I shook my head in amusement before going to my cell. I sat down at the small bench and picked up my journal. I began to write in it, jotting down my emotions and thoughts for today.
I went to the front page, scratching off another tally. I only had another year in here then I was out. But I wanted to shorten that time with good behavior. I was doing well at it. I did have three, but as of late, theyve shortened it. I knew I could do it. As long as I stayed away from the midget.
