Yoongi nervously ran a hand through his hair as he waited for the elevator to reach Misun's floor. He couldn't believe this. How had his life gotten to this point?
As the elevator doors opened, he paused, not wanting to face the situation. He wished he could just run back to his new apartment, throw himself under the covers on his bed, and hide. But, after a moment, he forced himself to step onto the floor and walked toward his old apartment.
He was about to knock on the door, when the door to 3D opened. Yoongi internally groaned. 'Not now.'
"Yoongi?"
He looked up into Hana's confused face. "Hey."
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
"I just...I needed to see Misun. We need to discuss something."
Hana raised a brow. "Oh?"
"Nothing like that," Yoongi said hurriedly. "But I really need to get to it. Sorry, Hana."
"No worries," she said with a now unreadable expression on her face. "I need to get going anyway."
"Okay. Good seeing you again."
"You, too," she replied as she headed toward the elevators.
Yoongi watched her go, feeling inexplicably disappointed that she hadn't flashed him one of her usual bright grins. He quickly shook the thought out of his head as he turned back to Misun's door and reluctantly knocked.
She answered quickly. "Thanks for coming," she said as she held the door open for him. Yoongi entered, but immediately stopped short. A man he'd never seen before was sitting on a new couch in the living room.
"Yoongi, this is Cho Ryung."
Yoongi just stared at him. He knew why this man was also here.
"Do you want to sit?" Misun offered.
"No," Yoongi said shortly. "Let's just get to the point. I thought you were on the pill."
Misun looked down guiltily. "I-I was. But I ran out, and never refilled the prescription."
"Jesus Christ, Misun." Yoongi couldn't hold back his anger. "What the fuck were you thinking?"
"Hey, don't talk to her like that," Ryung suddenly said.
"Who the fuck are you to tell me what to do," Yoongi snapped. "Are you not pissed about this?"
"No! I plan to step up like a man," Ryung spat.
"Well, if it's mine, so do I," Yoongi shouted back.
"Please don't do this," Misun begged. "Can we just talk this out rationally?"
"What the hell is rational about this situation, Misun?" Yoongi asked harshly, though he lowered his voice. "When can you get a paternity test? We need to get this sorted out as soon as possible."
"I'm five weeks along," Misun said. "We can't get a paternity test until after seven."
Yoongi rubbed his temples. He wasn't sure he could wait two more weeks. "Fine. Let me know when you're getting the test done, and I'll meet you at the doctor's office."
He then turned to leave, but Misun stepped in front of him. "That's it?" she asked. "You're just gonna walk out of my life until then?"
"Hell yes. And if this baby isn't mine, then I'll happily walk out of your life for good."
"Yoonie – "
"Don't call me that," Yoongi interrupted, his voice beginning to rise again. "I'm sure your boyfriend over there wouldn't appreciate it any more than I do."
