Excitement and Choices

𝘼𝙉𝙎𝙃𝙄𝙏𝘼'𝙎 𝙋𝙊𝙑

I still can't believe that a life is developing in my womb.
I am really excited to meet little Vivaan but more than me, Rana sa is stimulated to meet little me as per his premise it's a girl.

But to be honest I want it to be a little baby boy, just like my Vivaan. One of the reason is because I want him to live the life his dad wasn't able to ,during his childhood.
I wish Vivaan see himself in him.

I am now, one and a half month pregnant and everyone here are actually preparing for welcome of our baby. Whenever I ask maa sa and chachi ji why they are knitting sweaters, caps, socks and gloves they always shut me up by saying
'We are going to be grandmothers'.

Papa ji and Chacha ji are actually planning a something big and for them they are going to be the coolest grandfathers.
Siya promised to prepare the nursery and clothings for the baby.
Even Mishti, is asking me which toy will the baby like.

Not to mention baby's father, he planned a family vacation for all of us to lighten my mood and making me happy. I am getting frequent mood swings nowadays, sometimes I cry in the middle of the night and Vivaan wakes up and only sleeps after I do.

I remember when I got angry on him last weak, because he refused to get me icecream, I actually craves for Ice cream, chocolate and sweets which I genuinely don't like. In fact I love spicy food.

I decided to take care of my health by doing yoga, exercise and meditations everyday and you know who accompanies me?

My whole family.

Vivaan placed babies posters and photos in our room. And those pictures are of Vivaan himself.

I was currently watching doraemon with Siya and Mishti. Vivaan is not here, his favourite work to do everyday at this hour. But today it's taking him a lot of time.

Just then someone knocked on the door. I peeked to see someone, or something. It looked weird so curiousty took over me and I walk to look at it myself, siya followed me I guess and no exception for Mishti.

Infront of me stood two people, I couldn't see their faces as they were covered with gifts at the top. But I am sure one of them is a girl and the second one is a boy.

"Who are you guys"? Siya asked and soon the gift boxes were motioned down to reveal.

" ANSHI"!!!! Aanchal hugged me, it was a tight hug but I am so happy. She finally came back.
"HEY SHORTY"!!! Daksh was standing beside her.
" You two"? Daksh and Aanchal looked at each other.

"Well, your real surprise of the day is downstairs".

I ran downstairs to see non other than my lovely......

" NANI"!!! I hugged her tightly, now she will start her lectures, to take care of my health.
But MAN!! I actually missed her a lot.
I broke the hug and she caressed my face before giving a peck on my forehead.
"You should not run carelessly at this time".I pouted, there is still a question I want to ask her.

"Ok Ok baba Sorry, I will not do it again, but this is really a pleasant surprise nani".She smiled and looked behind her.

" Your husband planned it".I looked at Vivaan who was standing near the door and spinning car keys on his finger.
"Thank you Rana ji".He bowed dramatically with a smile.

Nani handed me a container.

" What? Don't tell me there are laddoo on it".But to my surprise she shook her head.
"I bought fresh ghee, to provide nutrition to the baby".Thank God!!

" Here is your juice, Rani sa".Vivaan gave me a glass of mango juice, which I actually don't like but does it matter now. No actually not. We sat and I gulped down the juice. Nani caressed Vivaan's head.
"Aapko bohot bohot badhai beta ( Many Many Congratulations to you beta) ". Maa sa and Chachi ji were talking to Nani while I looked at Vivaan's head on MY nani's lap.

" Nani!! ".Everyone looked at me.
" Kya hua beta (What happened beta) ".Oops I shouldn't have shouted like that as now I was the center of concern.

" Who will you love more? Me or my baby"? My question shocked everyone as they looked at me with disbelief. Just then Vivaan also jumped in the competition.

"Yes Yes good question Rani sa, tell me who will you love more, Me or your grandchild"? Nani smiled, Maa sa and Chachi ji laughed along with Siya, even Mishti was laughing.

" Of course I will love my Grandchild more afterall because of him or her I got a new position".Vivaan and I looked at each other with puppy expressions and everyone else agreed with Nani.
She then patted both of our heads.

"But I will always be grateful to you, for giving me this big happiness". After that everyone talked and laughed.

I went in the kitchen to get my dark chocolate. But Vivaan followed me.

"What happened Rana sa, do you also want dark chocolate"? I asked with a smile but his expressions were serious.
" I want ask you something ".I gulped down the chocolate and nodded.

" Who... will you love more, me Or our baby"? I relaxed myself, he actually scared me.
"Of course our baby". I said with a tease, how can I choose one piece of my heart over the other.
His face saddend. I cupled his face between my hands.

" But I will always be grateful you to give me this happiness ".I mimicked what Nani said earlier. He looked down and I laughed out loud. We walked out but I held his hand.

" Vivaan".This time I am really serious, he looked at me.
"Hmm".

" Let's love each other more and cherish our baby's life with happiness, affection and love".He nodded , his smile widened and hugged me.
