"My name is Ezra."
David takes your hand and gives it a firm shake, his smile widening. "Nice to meet you, Ezra," he says warmly. "I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of each other around here."

I return the smile, feeling grateful for the friendly welcome.
As David and I continue to swim and chat, I feel myself relaxing more and more. The weight of my everyday worries and stresses seems to fade away as I bask in the warm sun and the gentle company of my new friend.

After a while, David suggests that we both get out of the pool and grab a drink at the nearby bar.

David leads the way out of the pool. Both of us grab towels and dry off before making our way over to the bar. The bartender greets us both warmly and David orders a couple of refreshing drinks.

As I sip on my drink, David continues to chat with me, asking about my hobbies and interests outside of White Oaks.

"Well I mostly paint and bake, sometimes I do both at the same time."

David's eyes light up with interest. "That sounds amazing! What kind of things do you paint and bake?" he asks.

"I paint landscapes, and I bake desserts."

David nods along, clearly intrigued. "That's really cool," he says. "I've always admired people who can create things like that. Do you have any favorite paintings or desserts that you like to make?"

"I made a painting of the rain falling on the ground and making a puddle."

David looks impressed. "Wow, that sounds beautiful," he says. "And what about your desserts? Do you have a specialty?"

I  nod enthusiastically. "Yes, I make a mean chocolate cake," I say with a grin. "It's my go-to dessert for special occasions."
David nods approvingly. "I'll have to try it sometime," he says.

"Maybe I can make some with you instead?"

David's eyes light up with excitement. "That would be amazing! I love learning new things in the kitchen," he says. "When would you like to do this?"

I  take a sip of my drink, considering the question. "How about tomorrow afternoon?" I suggest. "I'll bring the ingredients and we can make it together."

David nods eagerly. "That sounds perfect. I can't wait to see what kind of magic we can create in the kitchen together," he says with a grin.

As the two of us finish our drinks and say our goodbyes for the day, I feel a sense of excitement and anticipation bubbling inside me.
I am looking forward to spending more time with David and exploring all that White Oaks has to offer. As I head back to my room, I can't help but feel grateful for this new experience and the chance to connect with someone who shares my passion for creativity and adventure.
