A girl lay sleeping, clutching a pillow to her chest with a slight pout on her face. However, her peaceful slumber was suddenly disrupted by the jarring sound of her alarm clock. Groaning in annoyance, she turned off the alarm and made her way to the bathroom to begin her morning routine.

After getting ready, she headed downstairs for breakfast and found her parents already seated at the table. She approached them with a warm smile and greeted them.

Yn: "Good morning, Mom, Dad."

Mr./Mrs. Min: "Good morning, dear."

With that, they started their breakfast, chatting about random things and enjoying their morning family time.

Let me tell you about YN. She's a 21-year-old university student in her final year. YN is a sweet, funny, and quirky girl who's also incredibly intelligent and mature. She comes from a middle-class family; her father works in a factory. Despite the financial challenges, YN secured a scholarship that enabled her to study at one of Korea's top universities.

YN is fortunate to have two close friends, Mina and Jiya, who are always by her side.

Time skip to university

Reaching university, YN made her way towards her locker and saw her friends gossiping with each other, unaware of her presence. An evil idea came to her mind, and a little smirk made its way to her lips. Taking slow steps towards her friends, she stopped just behind them and leaned towards their ears and.

Mina/Jiya: "AAA Aaaa AAA Aaaa"

The entire corridor echoed with Mina and Jiya's loud shouts, while YN doubled over in laughter. Students passing by stopped in their tracks, some rolling their eyes in annoyance. Others ignored the commotion, continuing on their way.

Mina and Jiya turned to YN, their faces flushed with surprise.

Mina/Jiya: "WHAT THE HELL, YN?!"

YN: "Haaa haaaaaa..." She struggled to contain her laughter. "You both look so funny, like you've seen a ghost!"

Mina scoffed at YN's laughing face. Jiya exclaimed, "My heart is about to jump out of my mouth!"

Mina agreed, "Mine too. Let's go before Mrs. Kang arrives for class."

YN replied, "You both go ahead. I'll catch up after putting some things in my locker."

Jiya reminded her, "Come fast, YN!"

Mina and Jiya walked away, leaving YN to head towards her locker. However, her steps halted when she heard a whispery, moaning sound coming from a nearby corner. Curious, YN walked towards the noise and was shocked to see Irene making out with someone. Unfortunately, YN couldn't see the boy's face, as his back was turned towards her. Making a disgusted face, YN quickly walked away from the scene.

Some time later.

YN entered the classroom and made her way to her friends, taking her seat beside them.

Mina asked, "What took you so long?"

YN replied, "Nothing, I just saw Irene with a boy."

Jiya chimed in, "Again? Making out with another boy? That girl's never going to change."

Mina changed the subject, "Forget about Irene. I'm wondering why Mrs. Kang is late to today's class. She's always on time."

YN smiled mischievously, "Yeah, I'm also late today. She always scolds me for being late to her class, but look who's late now!"

Jiya: "Oh, I forgot to tell you both that there's a new boy transferring to our university."

YN: "In the middle of the term?"

Jiya: "I know, right? And I heard he's rich and hot."

The girls continued chatting until Mrs. Kang walked into the classroom, followed by the new student. The room fell silent as all eyes turned to the newcomer.

Standing confidently with his hands tucked into his pockets, he exuded an air of calmness. His chiseled features and striking good looks left the girls whispering among themselves. Some boys looked on in awe, while others seemed to simmer with jealousy.

Mrs. Kang: "Good morning, students. We have a new student in our class, Kim Taehyung. So, behave nicely with him." Her tone was strict.

Mrs. Kang turned to Taehyung and said, "Mr. Taehyung, take your seat beside Jimin. Jimin, please raise your hand."

Jimin raised his hand, and Taehyung walked towards the empty seat beside him.

Jimin: "Hey, Taehyung! I'm Jimin. Nice to have you as my seatmate, and if you want, we can be friends too."

Taehyung didn't say anything, just nodded with a blank look on his face.

Time skip:

Lunchtime. Cafeteria.

Mina: "What do you guys think about the new student?"

YN: "That Taehyung..." Mina hummed in response. "I don't know." She took a bite of her burger.

Jiya: "Hmm, I've been observing him since morning. He hasn't talked to anyone, not even Jimin. When Jimin tried to talk to him in class, he just shook his head. Look, there he is, sitting quietly and eating his food."

Mina and YN turned their heads to where Jiya was pointing.

YN: "Yeah, you're right. This morning, Mrs. Kang introduced him, but he didn't say a word. I think he might be mute, that's why he's not talking."

Jiya: "I know, right? And he seems mysterious to me."
