Taehyung POV

I sat in my study room, lost in thought as I pondered my next move. My mind was racing with strategies and plans, but my focus was interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Come in?" I called out.

One of my man entered, holding a file. "Sir, here's the file you asked for."

I took the file and began to read, but my eyes scanned the pages with growing disappointment. There was no depth to the information, no insight into the person I was trying to uncover.

My eyes darkened with frustration, and I slammed the file onto the table I yelled at him.

Taehyung: "WHAT THE FUCK, JACK?! I told you to bring me that bastard's entire history, not just his name, age, and photo!"

Jack: "Sir, I'm sorry, this is all the information I could gather."

Taehyung: "You fool! I already know this much about him. That's why I took admission in this university, to see his next move. Now, go and find out who he meets after university and who he's working for."

Jack: "Yes, sir." (He bowed and started to walk away)

Taehyung: "Wait!"

Taehyung: "Bring me all the information you can find on Park Irene. And remember, this is personal, don't mention it to Dad."

Jack: "Yes, sir." (He walked away, leaving me to my thoughts)

I leaned my head back against the chair, a sly smile spreading across my face as I thought about Park Irene, my crush.  but I'd never mustered the courage to confess.

Now that I knew she attended the same university as me, I was determined to ask her out. But first, I needed to know more about her. Was she single? Did she have a boyfriend?

Next morning
Yn POV

I walked into the classroom, feeling happy that I was early for a change. Mrs. Kang always yelled at me for being late, so it was nice to be on time. I sat down at my seat and saw Jimin and Taehyung walking in. Mina and Jiya were behind them, talking and laughing. My eyes met Taehyung's, and I felt weird. I looked away quickly, trying to forget the feeling just then I heard jimin voice.

Jimin reminded me, "YN, you forgot that you have to sit with Taehyung."

My whole happy  mood flew away like rocket. I stood up with an awkward smile and said, "Hehehe... sorry, I just forgot that my seat changed now."

Jimin reassured me, "It's okay, YN."

I walked over to my new seat and sat down, glancing over at Taehyung, who was busy scrolling through his phone..

Taehyung muttered, "Good morning, seatmate," still not looking up from his phone.

I responded, "See, Taehyung, I have a name, so please call me by my name."

Taehyung finally looked up, his gaze meeting mine instantly. "Why, don't you like it when I call you nicknames?"

I rolled my eyes and replied firmly, "No."

Taehyung's deep, low voice sent shivers down my spine as he said, "Don't roll your eyes, sweetheart."

I let out a sigh and forced a smile, trying to maintain some distance. "Only my friends have the right to call me nicknames."

Taehyung's expression turned charming as he replied, "Is that so? Let's be friends from now on, Miss Min YN."

I raised an eyebrow, unsure if he was being genuine or just playing games. "Are you joking around?"

Taehyung: it's looking like joking to you, I am serious.

Yn: ok then friends. Doubtful look

Taehyung: why are you looking at me like this.

YN: Nothing, but listen if you want to be friends with me to do your work then I swear Kim Taehyung I will break your face first then our friendship.

Taehyung: Soo you're threatening me.

YN: What if I say YES.

Taehyung: Nevermind, I'm leaving you because you're a girl.

YN: What do you mean by girl?

Taehyung: (smirking) So you're a boy? (acting shocked) Let me see you closely if you're a girl or boy.

As I heard Taehyung's words, I widened my eyes and saw him leaning towards me with a smirk on his face. I immediately stood up and shouted.

YN: "WHAT THE HELL, TAEHYUNG?!"

Mrs. Kang, our teacher, walked into the classroom and sternly said, "Miss YN, is this how you greet your teacher when they come to teach? WHY... JUST WHY ALWAYS MEEEE?"

I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and apologized, "I am sorry for my behavior, Mrs. Kang."

Mrs. Kang softened her tone, "Hmm, you're a good student, that's why I'm letting you off for your mistake. But next time, I won't be so lenient. Sit down."

The class continued, with Mrs. Kang starting her lesson...

I sat back down in my seat and caught Taehyung smirking at me. He leaned in and whispered, "I like to tease you, sweetheart."

I ignored him and focused on the lecture, trying not to let his words get to me. I kept my eyes fixed on Mrs. Kang, determined not to give Taehyung the satisfaction of getting a rise out of me.

After class

As I packed my books into my bag, I heard Mina's voice behind me. "YN, let's go to the cafeteria."

I turned to respond, but before I could say anything, Taehyung cut me off. "She'll come in a minute, you two go ahead. I need to talk to her about something."

Mina and Jiya exchanged a look, nodded, and walked away. I turned to Taehyung, curious about what he wanted. "What do you want to talk about?"

Taehyung smiled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "We'll eat together."

I raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "And why?"

Taehyung's voice took on a raspy tone as he replied, "Because we're friends, sweetheart."

I frowned, unsure when we had become friends. "When did we become friends?"

Taehyung chuckled, his eyes glinting with mischief.

"So you forgot, sweetheart? Now I have to remind you of our talk..."
