Scared to love you
Scared to touch you
Scared to trust you
Scared of being hurt
Thus I built a wall
Covered with thorns
And wild shrubs
Blocking out everyone
Including you
I'm sorry
For hurting you
For giving you false hopes
For making empty promises
And for not being Miss Perfect
But I'm still here
As a Friend
As a shoulder to cry on
As a listener
And as a normal person
Guess I had to lose you
On the way to finding me
On the way to reaching my goals
On the way to feeling worthy
And on the way to you finding happiness.
