As I continue to brush her hair she speaks.
"Hey have you ever thought of cutting your hair? I mean for a man it's pretty long.."
"Hey don't judge my hair I like it tied like this."
"Whatever you say"
Ren shrugs with that last sentence as I continue to brush her hair.
"Why can't you do this yourself?" I ask.
"I'm too sleepy to and you know that.. you've been travelling with me for long."
The whole experience is pretty awkward since no one talked the entire time. Finally after I was done, Ren speaks again breaking the silence.
"Hey just a thought.. what if we get one big sleeping mat instead of 2?"
"W-why would you want that?"
"It takes up so much space in the tent when we're not in an Inn.."
"Wouldn't bigger mattresses take more?"
"No, because we don't have our mats on different sides on the tent like you could be on the bottom of the tent then I'll be on the right... So we won't be stubborn see?"
"I'll think about it"
After brushing her hair Ren gets up from her chair and begins to style it in her normal hairstyle.
I go to pack my things since we're leaving this town to go over to the next one east. After, I tell Ren that I'm heading out to go buy things that we'll need such as supplies or what not.
"Hey I'm going out to go replenish supplies while you're busy over here."
"Just make sure you don't get robbed.."
"Oh I won't."
As I leave the Inn I question myself why I do this. Why I travel with such a stubborn girl... I mean the other day she didn't wanna leave her bed because it was her "Sleep day" she wakes up every afternoon.. I stop by a travelling store and my thoughts tell me to go buy that bigger mat she was thinking about..
It's just a few copper coins it shouldn't be that much of a hassle right? I eventually buy it after thinking much about it. I sneak it into my backpack and I go buy food and essentials.
I return to the Inn and as expected Fren's already there by the very quiet lounge area with our stuff
"Let's head out?"
"Yeah.. let's go while the sun's out."
We exit the Inn building and eventually the town too.
