the chronicles of floraloom (at ocxcanon)

chap 1. first meeting

finn the human didn't usually take so casual walks through the forest. whenever he took walks he was itching for a fight or adventure, something to give him adrenaline. but today he was tired from his recent adventuring.

he left the treehouse telling jake he was heading out and made his way to the forest. he wasn't expecting anything exciting to happen, just a normal walk, until he saw him.

a boy running from what was seemingly nothing, but scared out of his mind. when he saw finn he immediately stopped and waved awkwardly. he was very out of breath. finn waved back, slightly confused.

"hey dude, you alright?" he asked, tilting his head a bit. "y-yeah, i am, sorry." the boy replies, still trying to catch his breath. finn gives the boy a reassuring look. "hey, no worries, dude. you sure you're alright? you seemed pretty freaked out when you were running."

the boy perks up at this. even though they just met he feels like he can trust finn. "i saw-" he pauses, scared of just the thought of what be saw. "i saw the princess of my kingdom get stolen." he says.

finn was interested immediately by the news of a kidnapped princess. "oh man, a stolen princess? that sucks, do you know anything about the guy who took her?"

he shakes his head. he seems a little upset that he couldn't tell finn anything about them. he then remembers something. "oh! yeah, um, i think he was wearing a crown. i only caught a glimpse of him but he was saying some weird stuff. something about marrying the princess."

finn thinks about this information. he then places his fist in his hand. "ice king! oh man, that was obvious. i gotta go save that princess." he then turns to the boy. "by the way, you got a name, bud?"

"riley." he responds. finn nods. "i'm finn." theres a silence for a few moments, before finn speaks up again. "hey, you mind telling me the name of your kingdom?" he asks, looking at riley.

"floraloom. um, its around here, i think." riley answers, stumbling over his words a bit. finn doesn't notice these, seemingly thinking about the kingdom. "oh, that's the kingdom with the bunch of flower stuff at it, right?" he says, remembering something.

riley nods. hes relieved finn actually knows his kingdom. "i can take you there if you need. um, the kingdom really needs ya, everyones in distress that the princess is gone." he then suggests, starting to walk ahead a bit.

"yeah, thanks dude! lead the way, and i'll follow!" finn responds, making his way to folow riley. he nods and begins to go deeper in the forest, where they'll soon arrive at the floraloom kingdom.
