Viviana's POV I hear my alarm blaring loud as I hit it to turn it off. "Mondays are the worst." I say as I roll my eyes I check my phone and see the time I woke up at 6:45 which means I have an hour to get ready before Alana, my best friend since kindergarten, picks me up to go to school. Alana is my age. We are still in highschool which sucks. She is really pretty and confident and always sticks up for me. I finally manage to pull myself out of bed and realise my hair is not bad. I guess I'll keep it down today. My hair is long and naturally straight so I don't have to straighten it or anything. I pick out my outfit which consists of a blue skirt and dress shirt and a sweater.

I still have 30 minutes and I don't do my makeup so I go downstairs and I see my older brother who glares at my outfit. "Vi don't you think that skirt is a little short." Luka says with an attitude obviously not liking my outfit or at least the skirt. "It's fine Luk seriously chill out sometimes your so overprotective I'm not a baby anymore I'm almost an adult." I say and he snarls clearly annoyed with my response as he doesn't say anything. I see my brother Alessandro cooking pancakes yum my favourite "CAN I HAVE SOME PLEASE." I beg him. "Of course sis I'm making yours right now. You really think I'd make your favourite food and not make you any. I'm not that mean. I'm not Luka." Alessandro says and Luka just glares at us. "That's why you're my favourite brother" I say. "Hey seriously you can't pick favourites, that's not fair." Luka says giving up at acting all tough. "I know I love you both I just wanted you to stop acting all grumpy." I say and he just nods, I sit at the table and Alessandro gives me my pancakes and I'm practically drooling as I start digging in. "Thank you these are amazing." I say while my mouth is full. "Hah of course sis, do you need a ride to school or is Alana picking you up." Alessandro asked as I finished hearing I was about to respond as I hear a car honk 4 times outside. "That answers my question see you at school sis." He says as we both walk out the door, I see my best friend Alana "Lana I missed you so much." I say as I got in the car and give her a hug. "I missed you too, also girl you look stunning." She says as I flush because of the compliment. "thank you." I say as I look at her outfit jeans and a shirt of course she wouldn't ever wear anything else. But of course she pulls it off amazingly.

As we drive it only takes like 5 minutes before getting to school we get out of the car to the first day at school i suddenly get nervous because I look a lot different then I did last year as I matured a lot over the summer break. Alana notices. "Are you okay, I'm with you let's go get our schedules and hope we have classes together." She says and i nod. We walk into the school as everyone stares at us i seek my ex he stares me up and down and as we pass he looks at me and whistles "dam Viviana got hot" he says and I walk faster though Alana grabs my arm turns around "shut up your just mad because you lost the prettiest girl in the school." She says and he glares saying "Oh shut up I wasn't talking to you." He snaps "Hey don't talk to her like that you have a problem with me not her." I get mad as she was defending me and then he was mean to her. "Now she pipes up" he says as he laughs with a dumb smirk on his face. "Let's just go" whispers Lana. As I agree we walk away to get our schedules. As we look at it, we realise we have 2 out of four classes together. I sigh as I walk Lana to her class "Bye Vi." She says and I wave as I continue walking to my class which is far from hers until I run into something hard I thought it was a wall until I hear a voice "Watch where you're going darling" says a voice I don't recognize as I look up I realise it's the bad boys of are school I get scared walk away quick he just stares at me looking worried. I get into my class and realise it's French class which I quite like so I'm happy I got it this semester. I see someone, my friend Leo. I met him last year. He's really sweet and I kind of like him. I see an empty seat beside him so I walk over "Hi Leo it's me Viviana, do you mind if I sit here I don't know anyone else." I say nervously he looks up at me and smiles as he gets up and hugs me bone crushing. I missed you "Viv don't ask to sit, just sit, it's my pleasure really." He says sweetly hugging me. "Thank you Leo I missed you too but I can't really breath." I say. "Oh sorry" He says sheepishly scratching the back of his neck as we sit down, the teacher starts taking attendance I hear my name come up and raise my hand. Class goes by. It's basically a free period since it's the first today and the teacher is super sweet. I didn't realise its already the end of the period. I get up and me and Leo realise we have another class together in the afternoon and it's maths the only other class I don't have with Lana which means I'll have a friend in each class. Leo walks me to my next class which is Biology i realise I'm one of the first people in the class and go say hi to my teacher as I had her in my first year of highschool for science and she has always been there for me and she greets me I sit near the front of the class to be close to her sure call me a teacher pet but she's for real the nicest person. I see Lana walks in complaining about her gym class and how a girl was a bitch. I giggle about her complaining as Mrs.Mitric starts explaining the order of how we're gonna do our units and the schedule and talks about how to get a good grade. I take notes as Alana copies me. I've always been quite a nerd wanting to do good to impress my father. By the end of her talking the period is over it's lunch now finally the rest of the day goes by smoothly I expected Alana to drive me home but then looked at my phone and realise she had to leave early and go to the hospital to see her mom as she has cancer and something happened I hoped everything was okay. I look outside thinking I was gonna walk but realise it's raining so I try calling my brother but it goes to voicemail. I get annoyed but go and grab my stuff from my locker and start walking home it's really cold now and my sweater is doing nothing my house is about a 15 minute walk if I'm correct but I'm not entirely sure because I haven't walked home since grade 9 which was two years ago I continue walking but realise i don't know where I am and it looks like a creepy neighbourhood I get nervous and sit on a bench trying to call my brother but neither answer amd I can't call my dad because he is on a business trip which I still don't know exactly what his job is. A creepy older man comes up to me and I get scared. "What's a pretty little lady like you doing here all alone you should know this part of town isn't safe there's people who could hurt you like me." He says with a smirk and I back up, scared he starts walking towards me looking down at me I hear car tires screech and a door slam shut. I hear a deep voice yell "get the hell away from her." I hear as he rips him away from me looking at me as I wipe my tears from my face he turns around and gets on top of the man and punches him yelling to stay away from me. "You should know better then to try and hit on a young girl and get away with it! Dumb piece of shit never go near her again." He yells he turns around and comes toward me im shaking and I'm scared I flinch as he comes to check to see if I'm hurt at all. "Hey hey darling why are you here it's not safe do you need a ride home." He asks looking worried. " I-i was t t trying t to w w walk home but I d didnt r r remember the way and yes can you please give me a ride home if it's not to much out of the w way." I say stuttering he starts taking off his hoodie as he says "Darling my name is Diego by the way you're shivering here put this on also what's your address." He says as he places it over my head it goes lower then my skirt. "Thank you so much Diego, my address is 2648 Stoneridge Crescent." I say I'm a little scared because he's in a gang but he seems so nice and he saved me. He opens the door to the car for me as I sit down. He gets in the car and turns on the heat as I feel warm and safe. He starts driving towards my house as we sit in a comfortable silence. He arrives at my house and opens my side of the car door. "There you go darling please change when you get in I don't want you to get sick here's my phone number." He says and I nod and take the piece of paper and walk into the house changing and going to bed as I'm really tired but first text Diego hi it's Viviana thank you so much for everything today. As I drift off into a deep slumber.
