The next morning the three girls decided to put their plane into action. Everyone was nervous. No one had ever attempted such a spell on a human so they didn't know if it would work with an animal.

"I can't believe I let you talk me into doing this." Lizzie said as they approached the gorilla's nest.

"You're not the one going in there so you have nothing to worry about." Hope replied.

"No but we will be the ones surrounded wild animals many that might want an early lunch." Josie responded the shorter girl couldn't disagree. they had seen a few wild animals but none of them dared attack the three girls. A leopard had taken one look at Hope and knew she was the apex predator.

However while hope was under the spell she'd be vulnerable as would Josie and Lizzie. This is why the three decided to do the ritual as close to the animal as possible, it would minimize the risk of a predator attacking.

"This should be fine." Hope said as they stopped a few yards away from the cave. The three witches looked around wondering how to draw the animal out. Hope walked forward a bit until she was right in front of the cave.

"Post tenebras spero luce." A ball of light appeared in her hand acting as a flashlight. She saw the gorilla sleeping and slowly approached it. "Great maybe this wouldn't be so hard after all." The girl Thankfully she was a part werewolf and a hundred times stronger than a regular human so she would easily be able to lift it if it necessary.

As she got closer the gorilla opened its eyes. Seeing Hope it snorted and stood up and looked at her as if to say "I was sleeping what do you want tiny thing."

"Hey big guy." The Tribrid said taking a step back. "I huh, want to show you something mind coming with me?" The animal cocked its head before deciding to fallow Hope outside.

"Wow you're really big, bigger than your relative at the zoo." Josie said as Hope got the animal out of the cave the siphon took an apple out of her back pack and handed it to the ape.

The gorilla took the apple and looked at it as if inspecting it wondering why the little thing was giving him something when most of the things like them tried to kill him? After a moment it ate the apple then looked at Josie before turning to Lizzie.

"Why are you looking at me? My sister's the one with the food." The blonde said the gorilla hesitated before turning to her twin.

"Jo please tell me you have enough food for him." Lizzie begged not wanting to end up on the breakfast menu.

"I do but it might not be enough." The brunette replied taking another apple out of her back pack. She had used a spell to multiply the food the gorilla had given them the day before into larger portions. Still, the young siphoner wasn't sure it would be enough.

A normal male Gorilla could eat up to 75 pounds of food per day. there was no telling how much it would take to satisfy something this big.

Josie handed him the apple before backing up a few steps. Motivated by the food the gorilla took a few steps forward. Once again Josie took a few steps back, again the animal stepped forward. This continued with Josie giving the ape an apple every few steps, Hope and her sister fallowing at a reasonable distance.

They were close enough to act if they had to but far enough to the point that the animal wouldn't feel cornered.

It felt like forever before the gorilla was standing in the pentagram. Hope walked up to it slowly and stroked its massive arm. "Okay big guy, it's time to take a nap." She murmured. And with a raised arm and a closed fist, she spelled the animal into a deep sleep.
