new recruits

me and dean stepped outside the airport, looking around for the man we spoke on the phone to his name was don tibble but we got told to just call him mr tibbles. everywhere was so new and so fresh i wasn't looks for anyone i was just taking in the scenery till a man walked up to us. it was mr tibbles
"hiya their, i'm mr tibbles who you spoke in the phone to, you two are the first here, come come let's go and wait in the car for the other 4" said the excited man.
"okay" said i as i walked over to what i thought was a limo, it was huge and fancy. me and dean stepped in very impressed as the man who was driving put our things in the boot of the car.
"so all the other 4 are coming from different areas but should arrive at close times, i've got all their flights tracked to know when they land. i will introduce you to them when they all arrive. but luckily for you y/n their is another girl, julie who is joking and also an already team player connie, so you will not be the only girl on the team" mr tibbles told me
"yess, finally some girls" i basically squealed
"aww sis am i not enough for you?" dean teased me
"yep" i smirked.
dean look offended but i knew he was joking.
after an hour or so the last boy came, he looked like a cowboy.
"so now that everyone is here we are going to be putting you into a hotel for the night till yous get introduced to the rest of the ducks tomorrow at 8 so don't be late, this is y/n portman and her older brother dean portman, then julie gaffney, kenny wu and dwayne robertson" mr tibbles introduce us all.
we all said hi and had our own conversations of our own while we were heading to the hotel. me and julie talked about being the only girl on our teams was the worst, i guess i had it slightly better than her since i had my brother on my team while she was stuck with random boys, they liked her but she felt abit excluded by them and she was goalie so she didn't do much playing with them. while me and julie were talking the rest of the boys were talking and dean was mainly winding up them all.

soon enough we arrived at this gourgous 5 star hotel.
we all stepped out and were astonished, i gasped it was amazing
"are we really staying in here?" kenny asked
"yes, of course i need the best for my star players" mr tibbles replied
i felt like he was trying to impress us to win for his company but i just shrugged it off and was grateful for this. we walked into the hotel and we were waiting while mr tibbles talked to the receptionist. once he finished he gave us all our own key card
"so yous are all on the same floor and will be next door to eachother, so julie and y/n floor 2 room 346, dean and dwayne floor 2 room 347 and finally luis and kenny floor 2 room 348, i will meet you back here at 7:30 to go and meet the rest of the ducks at 8"
mr tibbles told us
we all ran off to our rooms while shouting thank you to him, i was so excited and julie seemed like a nice girl so i couldn't wait to be roomates with her for the night. by time we all reached our rooms we were all out of breath because we had ran while carrying a suitcase and hockey bag each.
"yall i think we shouldn't of ran" said dwayne gasping for breath.
"i agree" me and julie said at the same time. we walked in our room giggling because of what just happend. i flopped onto the bed, we had 2 double beds to ourselves. "i'm just going to unpack like 1 set of clothes and pjs since we are leaving tomorrow" julie told me
"yeah that's probably a good idea, i'm so excited i don't think i'm going to sleep all night" i said very excitedly
"honestly me neither, by the end of tonight i will of talked your head off haha" julie giggled.
the rest of the night consisted of me and julie talking and laughing all night long. the last time i checked my clock was 1:34 and we soon fell asleep after that.

i was woken to julie already dressed and shaking me to wake up. i groaned not wanting to wake up yet but forced myself out my bed. i got ready and put most my padding on so i was basically ready when we got their. so did julie however she left some of it off with her being a goalie there was alot for her. we were brushing our teeth when we heard a banging on the door.
"y/n julie hurry" shouted dean
i just hummed to him since i was still brushing my teeth. a few minutes later we went out our door to see all 4 boys waiting in their uniform and with their suitcases.
"girls just take time to get ready don't they" luis scoffed while winding us up.
"and how long does it take you to do that hair of yours luis?" julie asked while we giggled at him.
"hey yall i don't think we should run today" dwayne said
"yeah definitely not" kenny said
we arrived to the lobby and there was mr tibbles
"right kids let's get going get your stuff in the boot" he said almost in a hurry.
