I sat in the modern, bright office of a certain lawyer named Klingenfeld and tried to understand what he was telling me,

 Am I dreaming here?

Is this a prank? A hidden camera?

"Ms. Y/N, have you got this so far? You look so pale, do you want a cold drink?" he asked me anxiously.

"I..." I couldn't get anything else out.

"Yes, please."

He got up and took a can of Coke from a small fridge next to his desk and handed it to me.

I opened it gratefully and took a big gulp.

"Okay, you're saying I still have a grandfather?"

"You did, until five days ago. That's when he died of a heart attack."

"Oh" was my only reaction.

I didn't even know the man. Neither of my parents had been alive for a long time.

My father is said to have taken his own life before I was born and my mother had died three years ago after a long illness. I had no brothers or sisters, nor aunts or uncles or... grandparents that I knew of. I had never seen my grandfather, who had just died. He was a taboo subject with my mother because, according to my mother, he was to blame for my father's death.

"You were his only living relative and are the sole heir in his will," he explained to me with a smile.

Wow...

"And how much did I inherit?"

"20"

I snorted sourly.

"Are you serious? I had to pay 30 euros just for the train ride here."

"Well, there are a few more zeros on it." He grinned broadly.

"20,000?" I'm already looking forward to not having to work any more alongside my studies in Asian economics and languages.

"Even more." His grin deepened.

"20 million?" I took another big sip of Coke and stared at him, stunned.

"Actually, 20 billion + shares and investments of roughly the same amount." If he had no ears, he would now be grinning in circles

"Omg..." I actually wanted to say more, but no words came out of my open mouth.

Instead, I forgot the sip of Coke I had just taken and before I could close my mouth, I let out a burp, that would have made any construction worker proud and the lions at the zoo 10 km from here. I slapped my hand over my mouth.

"Excuse me," I breathed. I probably would have blushed if I hadn't already been pale with shock. I breathed in and out deeply and then shook my head.

"You don't have me confused or anything?"

"No. Your grandfather even had you monitored shortly before he died and secretly had a DNA test done. You're the heiress."

Aha, that's why my toothbrush had suddenly disappeared.

"And what happens now? Do I have to do something, fulfill a clause, donate my liver? Sacrifice my firstborn?"

He laughed.

"No, I've arranged an appointment for you at the bank this afternoon, where everything you need will be handed to you and explained."

He handed me a business card of the bank employee responsible and then shook my hand.

"My condolences and congratulations Ms. Y/N"

As I slowly walked out of the office, my mind was racing. What should I buy first?

A ticket to Korea of course!!!

I suddenly realized that my dream of living in Seoul and being closer to my idols was finally coming true and started jumping and screaming like a lunatic. I didn't care about the looks of the people around me. I would never see any of them again.

I would be able to see Ateez. But what was the easiest way to do that? My atiny heart was pounding like crazy.

And then I had the ultimate idea: I'd buy fucking KQ Entertainment. So expensive that I couldn't afford it, it couldn't be anyway.

that was my very first story... fasten your seatbelts, it's getting crazy... you will laugh, you will cry, you will get upset and die of sugar shock :D
