"C'mon Cassie, it'll be fun! What are you scared of anyway?", Castiel's older brother Gabriel asked.
They were in line for the Thunder Mountain roller coaster in Magic Kingdom at Disney World and Cas was scared to death.
He was pulling down on his black sweater with a big hole at the bottom of it. He was so nervous. This rollercoaster had hills and not to mention, Castiel was afraid of heights and going really fast.
He had never been fond of rollercoasters, but even he had to admit that seven year olds weren't even scared of this ride, and he was.
"Oh I don't know", Castiel finally answered sarcastically. "You KNOW I'm terrified of roller coasters Gabriel". Gabriel chuckled and started looking at the end of the line at God knows what.
Castiel started staring at the family in front of them getting onto the roller coaster. The two kids had mickey mouse ears on and were smiling widly. Castiel smiled shyly as the kids looked at him, eyes bright with excitement.
As Castiel was still looking at the kids, the park employee came around to make sure everybody had their safety bar pulled down. Castiel allowed his mouth to part slightly at the sight of this employee.
He had sandy brown hair, freckles covered his face, and his eyes greener than a granny smith apple. Castiel felt dumb referring to this beautiful man's eyes as an apple, but it was the prettiest green he could think of, and it still didn't compare to this man's eyes.
Castiel allowed himself to stare at the man longer. He let his eyes run over his fit body, looking at his muscles showing because of his short sleeve shirt. This made Castiel embarrassed about his long sleeved sweater, but he had no other choice but to wear it...
The employee was then done checking on everybody's bar and went back to the control station to start the ride. Castiel watched the roller coaster disappear into the dark cave ahead of it.
Before Castiel knew it, he and Gabriel were next in line.
"Uh... Cassie.. I'll have to take a rain check for this rollercoaster. I'm going to go ride with that hot thing over there", Gabriel said as he ran towards the back of the line, standing next to a short, blonde haired man wearing a deep V-neck shirt. So that's who he had been staring at. Castiel rolled his eyes and slowly started to panic. He realized he would be riding this all by himself.
As the automatic doors opened for Castiel to get onto the cart, he REALLY started to panic. He got onto the ride, and he knew he looked terrified and he didn't care.
The lap bar came down and Castiel did not bother pulling it down, knowing the green eyed man would do it for him.
And just as predicted, the man came around, pulling down the bars for everybody. As he came to Castiel, he saw the terrified look on his face and frowned. "Hey man, are you ok?," the employee said having a extremely concerned look on his face that surprised Castiel. Why was he so concerned?
"I... um.. really don't like... r-r-roller coasters," Castiel said unable to make eye contact with this man. He felt stupid. He was a 20 year old scared of a roller coaster made for seven year olds. That was very attractive.
"Well my shift is almost over anyway... If you uh would like me to ride with you, I would love to," the man said while scratching the back of his neck. He looked venerable and shy, which made him a million times more attractive to Castiel.
"YES," Castiel said a little too excited. "I mean, if you want to I would love that," he said quickly after he had sounded like a fool to into his guy.
The beautiful man smiled at Castiel, which made him blush, and then went to the other employees standing around waiting for their shift. He talked to them and pointed to Castiel. They all smiled and nodded their heads. After the conversation ended, Dean went back to the cart.
Without saying anything, Dean sat down next to him and pulled the lap bar down on both of them. He made eye contact with Castiel, blushed just as Castiel had a moment ago, and smiled shyly at him.
"So, my name is Dean Winchester," he said motioning with hand to his name tag. "What's yours?".
"Oh um, Castiel Novak, Weird I know..", Castiel replied blushing even harder from embarrassment.
His name was one of the many reasons he was bullied all through out school. That and he was gay and a complete outcast.
Dean smiled slightly, eyes still holding contact with Castiel's. "I love it", Dean said and turned to look straight ahead. Castiel's blush deepened as he turned to face the front also.
The cart jolted and a gasp left Castiel's lips before he could stop it. Dean look at him, having the same concerned look on his face as earlier. "Cas, are you okay?", he said and Castiel just stared at him. Nobody had every given Castiel a nickname before besides Gabriel, and Castiel was NOT going to include the "Fagstiel" nickname from high school.
After seeing the surprised look on Castiel's face, Dean gave him a confused look. "Is it okay if I call you that?", he said. Castiel nodded and turned forward again.
The roller coaster was now moving and it went into a cave. It was dark, wet, and nothing about it Castiel enjoyed.
His palms were sweating and he wasn't sure if it was from being with Dean or the roller coaster. After he decided it was both, the roller coaster started going up hill.
Dean looked over at Castiel and had to stare for a while. Cas had ocean colored, clear blue eyes, thick raven black hair, and not to mention, he had a very nice body.
They reached the top of the hill and Cas closed his eyes tight. As the roller coaster tipped more and more over the edge, Cas couldn't help it anymore. He quickly reached over and grab Dean's hand, lacing their fingers together tightly. Just before going down the hill, Cas snuggled up to Dean more and more, scared for his life.
Dean held Cas's hand, and snuggled back to him, hoping he made Cas feel safer. They went down the hill and through the whole roller coaster holding hands and cuddling closely.
Cas never opening his eye, but he felt safer than ever in Dean's arms.
Cas had never felt this way, even with his past relationship. He had only known the green eyed man for five minutes, but he was already falling for him.
After the ride was over, they sat on the cart, still holding hands, but both sat up straight. The didn't speak or make eye contact until the got off the roller coaster, hands still locked together.
Once they got back onto the main walk way of Magic Kingdom, they let go other each others hands.
"I'm sorry.. I'm such a wimp when it comes to roller coasters", Cas said looking at his feet.
"Don't be.. I wouldn't have met you if you weren't terrified.. plus that ride IS scary!", dean lied to make Cas feel better. Cas laughed and brought his eyes to Dean's.
"Do you want to go grab some dinner.. I'm a vegetarian and I found the BEST black bean burgers ever at this restaurant in this park...", Dean said, clearly wanting Cas to hang out.
"Uh sure! I would love to. And I'm also a vegetarian. Weird, you're the first person I've met besides my bestfriend that's a vegetarian."
Dean's face light up and they started walking towards the restaurant together.
