I open my eyes, and turn my head to Pierce whose neck was right in my face... I kiss it obviously. He tightens up and squeezes my waist a bit... since his arms are just wrapped around me one beneath me, and one over me them both hugging or more or so wrapping around my waist, and one of his legs are over mine! Wonderful!!

I kiss his neck one more time.. well—because it's fun! And he kinda flinches?

"Ugh.." Pierce mumbles, still sleeping? Sorta..

I roll my eyes and check the time... since—it's kinda stupid I woke up!.. And- holy shit it's five twenty-seven?! Whatever.. I grab my phone and snatch my earbuds from the bedside table! I plug it into my phone and just play my playlist 'for fun' and I kinda just scroll? Or.. I dunno- I began doing some random shit—on my phone! Just texting really

((26 minutes later))

Then I feel Pierce peck my cheek. I turn my head over slightly and pause my music

"What are you doing up?" I ask, taking an ear bud out.

"I wake up every now and then in between every hour or so.." he replied, his eyes still closed

"Ah-.." I said

"What about you?" Pierce asked

"Oh uh- I just woke up and I'm not 'risking' going back to sleep." I reply

"Fair," he says opening his eyes

I blush a bit. He just smiles at me, then he sat up and stretched his arms out.

"A-Are you getting up?" I stutter

"Yeah.. I have work at seven anyways." He replied

"Why—!" I complained

"Well, she's been taking it easy on me! Not to mention—half of my coworkers are taking off because of 'holiday purposes' which means.. they won't be back until after- fucking Christmas-.. And!.. just one more thing one of them can't walk!!" Pierce sighed.
(The 'she' is boss lady btw, not the one that can't walk the one at the start of the sentence.. 👏🫶)
