Miles POV

I made my way to the living room, I havent seen a single person all day.

 "Jessie?"

 "Mum? Dad?"

Eddie was in the front room, I grinned at him.

"Eddie!! Hey!"

I shout to him but something feels wrong, he hasnt replied just looked up to me seemingly looking straight through me. He started crying , But not ordinary tears...

 He started crying blood.

 I grabbed some kitchen towel and tried to wipe the tears from his face but they came harder and harder, All I could see was red. He gripped his head and let out a cry of pain. 

His blond hair was stained a dark  brown and he looked at me now, finally actually taking notice of me through the glistening pools of red that used to be the eyes I loved to stare into. He scowled and grabbed my shirt. 

 "You. YOU DID THIS TO ME. You... You ruin everything you touch so do everyone a favour and just DISAPPEAR."

He growled in a voice hoarse from screaming. I felt a pain in my chest and looked down to see my school shirt torn and a dark red hole where my heart should be. I looked back up and heard a buzzing in my ears. I saw red before everything turned black again.

I woke up at 2am gasping clutching my chest, I'd gotten back late from the skate park with Eddie and his mates, I'd fallen asleep a few hours back still in my clothes. The only light in my room was the dull blue glare of my phone. Someone was spamming me... Huh. Little late. 

It was Eddie. He left me a bunch of messages after I didnt respond to his message earlier.

HEY! Yeah I got home safe dont worry Ed, I was just tired. I fell asleep, But I'm gonna be awake for the rest of the night I reckon...I dont wanna go back to sleep.

I sat there for ten minutes then lied down... I nearly gave up on him responding when I heard my phone buzz. He sent me a fricking essay. Followed by a snap, I opened it before reading the chat to see a picture of my front door and the handlebars of his bike.
He didn't...

Suddenly I'm panicking about how I'm sneaking him in without my parents hearing and what I'm wearing all of my panic rudely interrupted by a soft tap at my window and him chilling on the window ledge waiting for me to let him in. He climbed that?!
I open the window wrapping my arm around his shoulders to pull him in.

"What the hell Eddie! It's 3am and it's below freezing you're gonna get a cold"

Without thinking I pull him into a hug trying to warm him up a little seeing as he's cold to the touch. He stiffens under my touch before hugging back his body growing limp in my arms and him pushing us back onto my bed him lying on top of me. What the actual hell is happening right now? He nuzzles into me and I freeze shocked by the sudden affection. I hear him mumble something and I nudge him.

"Hmm?" I hum inquisitively.

He looks up at me and my heart clenches as I see his eyes wet

"You scared me Mi"

My chest tightens at the thought of hurting him and I start to cry quietly my chest feeling constricted.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so so so so sorry Ed" He pulls me close to his chest tightly and mumbles.

"No no no no don't be sorry Mi, I just thought something had happened... Thought I'd lost you."

"Lost me?"

"You never know Mi, These things happen, I just don't want to lose you. I don't think I can."
Shocked into silence by his honesty and his vulnerability I just gradually slow my breathing as I calm down and hold him tight until we fell asleep holding each other close.

But as he slept my mind whirred trying to figure something out.
Why was he so scared that he'd lost me? And why is he here like this, With me? Friends don't do this. Not when they know one of them is gay. He wouldn't lead me on like this
