" You sure you ready for this Rosy " ?
I slowly take 3 steps back and kick of my sandals I flinch slightly as the cold rock tickles the bottoms of my feet
" Yeah you sure rose "
I laugh silently to myself knowing their not truly asking me their just trying to get themselves out of it .
I take one last deep breath and grab my two friends hands ...
" nope not sure at all "
I scream as we all begin to run and jump and next thing you know the nice breeze it whipping past our faces and then splash we plunge into the refreshingly cold Santa Barbra waters .
I surface the water and feel the Suns warmth shining on me I open my eyes and smile at the beautiful orange and purple sky and setting sun placed before me . I hear both of my friends surface .
" Holy Fuckin Shit , that was Awesome" Sam and Laura sqeal in sync making me cringe .
I picture my list in my head and mentally check off the first thing ...
1. JUMP OFF WARF CLIFFS . I don't know why but I felt like cliff jumping seemed like the perfect way to start off my summer and the list , it just seemed right in a cliche kinda way , like In the movies where it somehow makes the person feel more free and a changed person . Well that's bullshit folks that freedom and change only lasts for the 30 seconds your falling from the cliff up until you hit the water then it's gone . I guess that's why I gotta whole summer to feel that freedom and change right .

"Rosy ! Where the hell is my eyeliner" Sam yells from the bathroom even though it's literally connected to her room where I am sitting at her vanity applying makeup .
" It's right here " I say and throw it behind me hearing the small plastic container hit the wall .
"Thank you " she replays in a quieter voice now that she got what she wanted .
We're going to a party tonight one I did not really want to go to considering that I'm not really a party person I've always been the shy girl not exactly nerdy but not popular either I'd say somewhere in between which I am just fine with I have great friends and no drama . but anyways I am forcing myself to go because this is the summer before senior year and i am determined to check off my full list before the year starts , and getting out more is on it . I finish my makeup which consists of the regular , foundation , powder , mascara , a subtle faded red lip balm , and a very thin line of black liner making my green eyes pop and my fair smooth skin stand out . I just let my long chocolate hair loose in its natural straight wavy way it falls right above my hipbones.
For an outfit I decide to go simple so I just grab a pair of nice fitting cutoff's and a sheer black lace crop tank top with a bandeau underneath then just my classic sandals showing my Newley painted dark blue toes that match my finger nails .
" Alright Sam I thought I told you to stop taking my damn charger " a loud guys voice yells down the hall and seconds later he's in the doorway it's Daniel Sam's older brother .
" Hey rose" he says waving at me in the mirrors reflection and gives me his famous smirk and wink I roll my eyes at his flirt attempt he's known for being quite a player he's a freshman at UCSB he graduated our high school last year.
"Sam where is it " he asks impatiently .
"It's in the damn vanity drawer get it Jesus Christ your annoying " she yells back . I stifle a laugh And he strides over to the vanity where I'm sitting and looks at me in the mirror and smirks again I look away as he leans over me so his shoulder is pressed against the back of mine I blush at how close he is he reaches into the drawer and shuffles things around till he pulls out a long black cord . He slowly leans back but stops right at my ear and his hot breath fans my neck .
"Nice to see you've grown up rosy " he smirks and nips at my jawbone I get ahold of myself and shove him out if the room .
"Yeah sorry I can't say the same for you perv " I yell as I slam the door .
He's always like I said been a flirt but he was never like that to me he's always just been a makeshift older brother who teases and messes with me . I don't know what changed but I'm not used to him flirting with me.
After we both finish getting ready we leave sam's and go to pick up Laura it's time to get our party on and check another thing off my list .
