Madi POV:
It was already Friday. Prom was tonight and I was getting ready at my house. Liv and Lizzie were gonna pick me up so I was waiting for them now. I got dressed and did my hair and makeup. I realized I needed my camera for pictures so I walked to my room. I heard knocking at the door.
"It's open!" I called. I heard the door open as they walked in. "I can take some pictures on my polaroid camera but we'll only get one copy-"
My words died down as it wasn't Lizzie or Liv standing in my living room.
It was Lexa.
She was wearing a suit. A tight fitted suit with a yellow tie. The same color as my dress.
"Lexa?" I whispered in shock.
"You really shouldn't keep your door unlocked." Lexa smiled a bit.
"What is- What are you- Are you-" I couldn't even finish a sentence. "What?"
"I'm here to take you to prom." Lexa walked over to me and held out a bouquet of sunflowers.
I took the flowers as tears gathered in my eyes.
"Hey, don't cry." She brushed a stray lock of hair out of my eyes. "You'll ruin your makeup."
I chuckled as I dabbed my eyes. "Lexa...how are you here?"
"I walked through your unlocked front door." She whispered with a smile.
"No, I mean...how? You said you didn't want to go to prom. Did you lie just to do this?" I asked.
"No. Actually, your friends knocked at my door and demanded I'd go with you." She smiled.
"My friends?" I questioned.
"Olivia and Elizabeth." Lexa answered.
They did that for me?
"Wait, so you're only coming because they asked you to?" My voice cracked.
"No. I came because no matter how hard I try to push these feelings for you away, I can't. I can't stop thinking about you. I want to be around you all the time and if it means suffering at a high school event just to see a smile on your face, then so be it." Lexa stepped closer to me.
"You have feelings for me?" I whispered, a smile breaking out on my face.
"I have so many feelings for you." Lexa stared into my eyes.
"I have so many feelings for you too." I repeated her words.
"Will you go to prom with me?" Lexa asked.
"Yes!" I moved forward and hugged her.
When we pulled away from the hug she motioned to the camera in my hands. "We taking a picture?"
"Just one." I smiled at her as I set the camera on the table. I pushed the timer and this time we were actually looking at the camera.
Liv texted me and said she was outside.
"Liv's outside." I told Lexa.
"Then let's go." She held out her hand.
I smiled and we left the house and right to Liv's car. I saw Lizzie, Matt, Chase and Liv in the car.
"Hey!" I smiled at them. Lexa and I got in the backseat. Liv was driving her Mom's van so we all could fit.
Jack and Flora would meet us at the dance. We listened to music on the way and my hand didn't leave Lexa's the entire time.
Liv wore a dark pink dress with a slit up the leg. Lizzie had a similar dress but hers was a dark purple. Their dates had matching ties with their dresses.
