"Ehm- I guess" I was still hesitating..

"Are you 100% sure?"

Niki looks at me, his eyes are still shining and he's still stroking my hair

"I'd love to drink your blood, and I want you to feel what it's like for myself. But if you're not ready, just say so. I can wait for a bit."

"You sure?"

"Very sure." Niki looks at my face. his eyes are now glowing a bit stronger than before and he smiles at me.

"I really want it..."

"eh"

Niki's smile gets even bigger and then he comes even closer. his face is now only a few inches away from mine.

"Please. I don't want you to be scared."

his hand slowly moves towards my neck.

i looked him in his eyes.

Niki also looks me in the eyes. it is not easy to describe but somehow i can almost feel something weird and special happening

"Can I bite you now?" his voice is still very soft.

"what will happen if you do?"

Niki looks at me and thinks for a few moments.

"You... You will feel a light sting. It may hurt a bit. But that's about it. I swear that nothing bad will happen to you."

he tries to sound calm but there's a slight hint of nervousness

"Do you trust me? Would you like me to bite you?"

at that moment heeseung walked in.

the door to the room slowly opens and Heeseung, the oldest brother, looks inside. he sees Niki caressing my cheek while I'm lying in his lap.

Niki slowly turns his head towards the door. He sees Heeseung and takes a deep breath

"Hello Heeseung!"

Niki's voice sounds friendly but Heeseung still looks pissed. He walks towards the both of us and stares at Niki and me

"Explain this."

Niki looks at me again as if asking for help.

i looked at niki.

Niki looks back at me and then back at Heeseung. his voice is quiet but I can hear the fear inside of it

"I... I-I can explain I promise..."

Heeseung doesn't say a word and his expression is still pissed. after a few seconds, he sighs.

"Get your hands off of her."

Niki hesitates. He looks back at me for a few seconds and then gently caresses my cheek again.

"I don't want to let her go."

Heeseung's face is now even more pissed than before and he takes a few steps closer towards me and Niki.

"I said... Get your hands off of her."

"why? just because im human?" I asked.

Heeseung stares at Niki with hatred. he starts to speak, but then breaks the silence and just says

"yes"

Niki looks at me. he looks worried and hurt.

"Can I ask you one question..?" Niki asks me.

"sure ig" I reply.

Niki takes a deep breath and looks at me.

"Do you care about me? Do you care that I'm a vampire? Do you like me even though I'm such a freak?"

there's a soft pain on his voice as he speaks to me.
