BACKGROUND INFO ON CHARACTER:
Bailee's parents, Bryant and Sanai Walker found out that they were having her a few months after graduating high school and going into their freshman year of college. They then decided that instead of waiting to get married after college, they would do it immediately. While Bryant continued his education, it took a toll on Sanai to try and get to her classes or focus on her college work when she was creating a human inside of her. So she decided that it was for the best that she would put a pause on her college education for now and then try again once Bailee was born or once she gets a bit older.
Once Bailee was born things got even more hectic and Sanai decided to push her education back again to a later date and be a stay at home mom and wife. The older that Bailee got and the more Sanai leaned more into her mother and wife role, the less she thought about her education and wants and needs. Especially once Bailee started showing interest in fashion. At three years old, Bailee would play dress and get into her mothers makeup and things. She would always try on different clothing and put on a fashion show for her parents and friends. One day while Sanai was having a friend over, she mentions how much Bailee loved to dress up and put on fashion shows for them. The friend mentions how she should try to look into getting Bailee into pageant shows and a few children modeling gigs. Bailee and Sanai loved the idea! Bryant? Not so much. Which caused a rift (amongst other things between the couple) in Bryant and Sanai's marriage. Which also caused Bailee to stop modeling for some years. Bryant didn't want that for his daughter so he insisted that she was not to do so ever again. That hurt Bailee so much. Her dad didn't like that Bailee did pageants, he was hell bent on it being her mom forcing her into the lifestyle. Which couldn't have been farther from the truth. She has had a passion for the fashion industry and into fashion and modeling since she was a child. She knew from the beginning what she would want to do. It's all she would ever talk about when asked what she wanted to do when she grows up.
The couple stayed together up until Bailee was about 12 years old and then divorced and went their separate ways. After her parents split, her mom was determined to see that her baby's dream came true. So she took a leap of faith and packed her and Bailee's bags and moved them from St. Petersburg,Florida to Los Angeles,California in pursuit of finding a modeling agency for Bailee. And the move eventually worked out in their favor because some months went by and an agency picked her on their roster (which they signed and sealed the deal with one request, that Bailee's mother get to stay on as her manager).
When Bailee turned 19 years old , she was picked up by an even bigger and well known modeling agency. But the only downfall was that the agency was located in NYC. Though the job would require her to be all around the world if needed to be, most of the work would be done in nyc. Bailee was reluctant at first , getting with a new agency , moving from Cali to NYC, finding a new manager AND moving away from her mother would be very difficult for her. More so on the moving away from her mother part. Her mother is all she's ever known, yes her father was still in her life but her mother has believed in her and been there for her since the very beginning. She knew this new adventure would be something she would have to do on her own, her mother wouldn't be able to come along with this big move. But it also gave her some comfort knowing that her mother wouldn't be alone, she had remarried a great man who she's come to know and love as her stepfather (which also gave her a little brother to love on).
Bailee is the sweetest, most hardworking and genuine woman there is. Which is very rare in the industry that she grew up in. It's what got her so far into her career. Now at 26 years old, Bailee has been around the world and worked with so many runways for fashion designers, luxury designer companies and other big names. She hopes that God continues to bless her within her career and life.
