She embraced somi once more and quietly whispered in her ear, "Can you just go along with this for now?" somi was puzzled, but she nodded in agreement.
"Hey love," she planted a gentle kiss on Minjeong's cheek, then turned to jimin. "Are you going to introduce me to your friend?" somi asked, and minjeong nodded.
"Jimin, I already introduced you, but this is somi, my fiancée. And somi, this is jimin, my friend," minjeong stated, as somi approached jimin and shook her hand.
"Pleasure to meet you," somi said, and jimin smiled and nodded.
"pleasure to meet you too," jimin replied, and then turned to minjeong. "I'd love to stay longer, but I need to get back home," she said as she walked towards the front door. "Will I see you later, minjeongie?" The nickname broke Minjeong's heart, but she nodded and smiled.
Jimin looked back at Minjeong one last time before leaving the apartment. As soon as she exited the building, tears streamed down her cheeks. She had arrived too late because Minjeong had already found someone. Maybe they weren't meant to be together after all.
She got into her car and drove away

"Minjeong, why am I involved in this?" asked Somi after Jimin had left. She sat on the couch, waiting for Minjeong to explain. But Minjeong found herself unable to express any explanation for her actions. It felt as though some darkness had taken hold of her and caused her to act in this way. Somi noticed Minjeong's troubled expression and asked, "Was she someone close to you? Is that why you did that?" Minjeong buried her head in her hands and began mumbling words. Somi took Minjeong's face in her hands and looked into her eyes, seeing the tears welling up. She embraced Minjeong tightly.
"I'm sorry. I will fix things out tomorrow and tell her that you aren't my fiancée," Minjeong sobbed into Somi's shoulder, while Somi gently comforted her. "I thought I had moved on, but why do I still feel hurt? Hell, we weren't even a couple we were friends. Why do I feel this way?" Tears flowed uncontrollably down her face.
"Let it all out," Somi hugged her tighter, offering comfort. "It's all going to be okay." After Minjeong had calmed down, they parted, and Minjeong looked at Somi apologetically.
"Sorry for ruining your shirt," she sniffed, and Somi found her cute. "I will try to sort things out tomorrow," Minjeong assured Somi.
"I can play along if you want me to," Somi offered, and Minjeong looked surprised. "Let's make her regret losing someone as beautiful as you," Somi smiled.
"It seems so childish."
"But you can't deny that it's fun," Somi winked at minjeong and smirked at the idea, and Minjeong, despite feeling uneasy about it, nodded along.

Jimin came home and sank onto the couch, her gaze fixed on the dark TV screen. Regret weighed heavily on her as she thought about running away and missing her chance with Minjeong. Accepting that maybe they weren't meant for each other after all, she decided to move on, and maybe even consider running away again.
"Jimin, are you okay?" Ryujin came out of the room and asked jimin.
Noticing Jimin's silence, Ryujin sat down beside her, expressing her concern. "I lost her again," Jimin complained, turning to Ryujin with teary eyes. "Can you believe that she's engaged? I'm too late," Jimin stated, her voice filled with regret. Ryujin sat next to her, patting her back in a comforting gesture. "When are you going back to America?" she asked her friend.
"In two days, why?" Ryujin asked, puzzled by the sudden question.
"I am going with you," Jimin announced, feeling a sense of déjà vu from a similar conversation they had just a year ago when she had wanted to run away. This time, however, Ryujin's response shocked her.
