Sometimes one wonders at what point an event enters history, the one with a capital "H." I would say it's when the narrative of these events begins to be propagated and passed down from generation to generation, and when people share their perspectives on the course of these events. The history of this world began a long time ago, at its creation by the so-called gods. But these races waged war, driven by their differences. Witnessing the hatred spawned by their offspring, the gods decided, by mutual agreement, to no longer intervene, appear, or even communicate with their descendants. They left as the sole evidence of their existence the extraordinary powers they still bestow upon their offspring to this day. With no more contact with their deities, tensions between the races lessened. Each went to live in different regions of the world, and a period of (relative) peace began. This is the history that children learn from their parents and will, in turn, teach to their own children. At least, that was the case until the events we are about to witness...
