The dark reality of a broken girl

Hongjoong's POV: 

I looked at my computer thinking over things she had said. It made me wonder what she meant by it. I typed into the search-bar  'Children's home failing to keep kids safe' I saw some stuff show up but one specific link had caught my attention. It had a picture of a young girl that looked terrified sitting in some room. I clicked on the link and saw the date it showed from when it was made or had come out. while reading the article I had saw the name of the little girl. I was shocked when it was her, my crush that lives with me. I felt sick to my stomach while reading what had been said. Than I saw what looked like a list of the times she was brought back to the children's home. The reason it all started in the first place because of her own parents. She had no other family to take care of her so she was placed into foster care. Yet from how long it had gone on for her it showed how the system really failed to keep her safe and protected. There were even some records from what seemed like hospitals of when she was taken there to be evaluated and seen for health reasons from each time she was returned to foster care. I saw what was an audio recording put into the article. I grabbed my headphones to listen to the audio recording. I heard her voice when she was being spoken to. 

*Trigger warning* *Mentions of abuse/mistreatment, r*pe, neglect*

Officer:  "Can you tell me your name sweetheart?"

Katie: "Me name is Yuki Katie"

Officer: "Can you tell me what happened that you had been returned to the foster care home and what they did to you?"

Katie: "They said  that they couldn't handle me. They hurt me. They used me as a servant or maid to do their work. When I didn't do what they told me to do they would harm me and lock me in a room."

Officer: "Would they give you food or anything to drink when in their care?"

Katie: "Most times no. They weren't the first family do treat me this way. I'm not a bad kid rights? Everyone that would adopt me or bring me to their home said that to me once the doors were closed."

Officer: "You're not a bad kid. They are the bad people and we're trying to make sure they can't do that to any other children. Would they do anything inappropriate to you?"

Katie: "Y-y-yes. Don't wanna talk about it. Please don't bring me back to the monsters. I'll do anything to not be brought back to them."

Officer: "You won't be brought back to that family. I'll stop this moment here. I promise you that we'll make sure those monsters of people who you had been in their care will pay for their wrongdoing and the harm they have caused. You are a very brave child for your age. I'll have some of my people come to check on you ever couple days and make sure the foster home for kids is doing their job correctly."

Hongjoong's POV: 

I felt sick to my stomach after hearing the recording and what she had said. I set my computer off to the side. What sick twisted people would do that to any child, someone like her. I started to think of how she would hold herself together when people would say things about her at school. I looked back at my computer and saw from the article I had read there were links to the records of her being taken to a foster family than back to foster care. The reasons along with it for what had happened to her. What is wrong with this world we have to live in? These sick twisted people not caring about the pain and harm they cause to others. It's wrong and disgusting. I really was worried about how she would be if something would happen to her or worse someone bring something up that bothers her and make her shut down and not be around anyone anymore. I saw that one of the days she had been returned to foster care was coming up soon. I couldn't sleep now. After what I had read and looked at. I really didn't want someone like her to be hurting because of someone being an inconsiderate jerk or bully to her. I set my computer on my desk and laid in my bed. I looked up at the ceiling with so many different thoughts running through my mind now.
