Dr.Kan Su-ryeon is one of the most famous and succesful neurosurgeons of South Korea. She worked herself up to the top, running her own medical center, in Seoul, the city of fame, money and anxiety.
As she was leaving the building of ManJun Medical Center all the other doctors and employes bowed down in front of her respectfully. Not only because she was also the chairwoman, but because her presence was mesmerising yet terrifying. She was a confident woman with skin as plase as porcelane. Her long brunette hair perfectly framed her oval face with elegant and solid bangs. Her brown eyes were sharp and they screamed power. Her walking style was elite yet solid, her soft well manicured hands were gently swinging by her side.
As she left the building she got into her white Maserati Ghibli and threw her brown leather Valentino bag on the front passenger seat.
As she entered her penthouse a long corrdior was waiting for her. The walls were white and only a big blue post modern relief decorated the wall. By her right side there were the maid's room, her husband's office and a restroom. The teras door was facing the front door. By her left side the walls were open at a point and the big living room stood there where the floor was lower. As she stepped down and walked into the big and glorious black and white living room (the whole house is black and white, mostly white) she heard children's laughter from upstairs. It was music to her ears as she was looking out on the big windows that formed a glass wall. Turning left there was a big purple modern painting on the wall, at least as big as the Birth of Venus if not bigger. It featured the death of Empress Myeongseong in a such an abstarct way no one could imagine it. Behind the wall there was a corridor that connected the teras door and the kicthen, it also served as a bar to the family. The kitchen was big and yet allways cluttered, Su-ryeon loved cooking to her family. She loved it when her children sat by the kitchen island and talked about their days in school. Next to the kitchen there was another corridor that gave space to a big aquariom that was almost as big as the wall. There were many species in its water: guppies, goldfish, beta, mini octopus, beautiful colorful plans and many more. The walls were opened also so you could go there from the living room. But as she walked up on the balck marble spiral stairscase the laughter of her children grew louder. After she she got upstairs she looked down at the tidy living room and as she was looking up a beautiful modern crystal chandelier met her eyes. She walked to solid white and beige room. She entered her private bathroom where she took of her makeup then she got changed in her gardrobe room. She walked trough the corridor and the sound was coming from her son's room. She knocked twice then opened the door and leaned in. Her two angles were sitting on the bed. Her son, Seon-jun, he was slowly turning 18 and he was a true heartbreaker with his haunting siren eyes and soft triangle face, he was also a true "bad boy" and his room referenced it really well: it was fully black. But there was one thing he was passionate about, and it was horse riding. He even had a horse, a great Luzitano, black as a raven's feather. Next to him was Man-wol, her daughter. She has just become 16. She was the black sheep of the family, she didn't care about all the fancy stuff, she was also quiet ugly, well she had some acnes and thin lips and messy eyebrows but other than that she was pretty if we don't look at her wide and thick glasses. But she was a really good artist, she wanted to be a fashion designer and actually she is our protagonist.
"Hi dears, I'm home. What's so funny, I've been hearing you laughing since I had arrived home." Su-ryeon smiled at her kids.
"You're too old for that, you wouldn't understand it." Seon-jun smiled at her.
"Are you serious? I'm still only 42 and not 500." she laughed sarcastically.
Both of her children gave her a blank stare and she got the signs to leave them alone. They didn't like having their sibling time being interrupted. They were really close, unlike other siblings, they were unseparable.
After a while the children went down to the kitchen when they felt the smell of fresh chicken.
"So what were you to so fascinated about?" Su-ryeon asked again.
"Eun-wo almost died." Seun-jun said it laughingly.
"That's not funny, he's your best friend. But what happened?" Su-ryeon asked as she flipped the chicken.
"After school we went to the gym and the walking pad he was using went mad and it suddenly got so quick that it threw him to the other side of the gym. It was funny to see." he explained it giggly.
"Poor boy. By they way Seo-jin comes over to dinner, she has some business with your father, if you want you can invite Eun-wo." Su-ryeon suggested. (Her husband, Tae-moon and Eun-wo's mother were co-workers and a distributor company. Tae-moon was the chariman and Seo-jin was the director.)
"Okey." he nodded then quickly snapped "God no!" he shook his head.
"What?" Man-wol asked.
"Mi-na." he looked at his sister and she instantly got it.
"What?" Su-ryeon asked.
"If we invite him with his mom then we must invite Mi-na, his annoying twin sister." Man-wol explained.
"The one that has been having a crush on you since 5th grade?" Su-ryeon asked and Seon-jun nodded.
"Well, she is still at a 5th graders level, and they are classmates." Man-woll said as she drank from her water.
"He's not coming." Seon-jun declared.
"Kids these days." Su-ryeon sighted as she smiled "But will you survive the dinner?" she asked.
"We must be there too?" Jeon-sun asked with wided out eyes.
"Yes, of course." their mother nodded.
"Unbeliveable." he rolled his eyes.
"We'll get trough it, together, as sister and brother, we must survive, no matter what." Man-wol looked deeply into his eyes.
"Aish!" he sighted "It's not like we're in Jumanji." he said as Su-ryeln giggled "It's worse." he looked at his mother then walked away.
"I'll find and excuse why you can't be there." Su-ryeon smiled at her daughter.
"I hole dad won't be mad." Man-wol said as she went after her brother.
She went to his room and sat down on his black leather sofa.
"Mom said she'll make up something so we won't have to be there." Man-wol smiled at him.
"Allright." he nodded.
"I'll go practicing now." she got up of the sofa.
"Okey." he smiled at her.
Man-wol walked to her room. It was a typical pinterest girl room. White walls, coty style, many plants. She had a reading spot next to the window and drawing covered her walll. She had the olympics coming and she had to practice her portrait studies.
Some hours passed by and Tae-moon arrived home with his co-worker, Seo-jin.
"Hello honey, Seo-jin!" Su-ryeon welcomed them with a warm smile.
"Hello Su-ryeon, how have you been?" Seo-jin asked her. She was a fierce woman. Her cheekbones were sharp and her skin was pale as snow. Her long black hair was allways solidly curled and she allways worse red lipstick.
"I've been working a lot." Su-ryeon smiled at her.
At dinner they were discussing a new business plan to increase fonds. At some point Su-ryeon excused herself out to the restroom and in the moment Seo-jin and Tae-moon's legs met under the table. Tae-moon slowly ran his hands trough on her thights and they were giggling quietly.
"What if she comes back?" asked Seo-Jin.
"Don't worry!" he whispered as he kissed her neck.
When Su-ryeon came back they were sitting normally again. She didn't suspect a thing. She would have never thought that her husband was cheating on her, at least not with the mother of his son's best friend.
