"Girl he tried to bite me." My coworker Cheeseburger tells me bout a patient.

"See nawl, that's why I don't do them no hand policy sites. No way I'm getting my ass beat, bit, and molested for less than 25 an hour. If I can't take a patient down, I can't be there." I throw my hands up.

"Right? It be the people who never worked a day in the field making up these dumbass policies. Let a patient try and bite they dumbass. It'a be dey last day." He nods.

"Deadass." I agree.

"But whatchu got goin this Saturday?" He asks.

"I don't know, ion think I got nun to do. Why?" I ask.

"They throwin a 90s party at my hood. You seem like you cool... slide." He says.

"Text me the flyer. Can I bring somebody?" I ask.

"Yea, it's open door, no fee."

"Mmm aight."

I answer Key's call and give Cheeseburger a lil sign.

"Hey honey."

"Wassaup pretty, you on break?" He asks.

"Yea I'm on break talking to Cheeseburger."

"Bet. A nigga just bored." He says.

"Text your groupchats or sum babe idk what to tell ya. Ian doing shit either." I shrug.

"You think trees in the forest sometimes be possessed by demons or dead people and they pull people into themselves and that's why people go missing in forests?" He theorizes.

"Yea you're bored fasho." I laugh.

"Whatchu doin?" I ask.

"I'm driving to drop you off sum food." He reveals making me gasp.

"Don't humor me cuz I really got excited." I frown.

"I got Pete's Fish N Chips."

"5 piece fish wit extra sauce?" I gasp again.

"What the fuck else?" He laughs.

Idc what nobody says about this boy, he really makes me happy. We make each other happy.

"Awwwwwwwwww." I cheese.

"I'm pulling up, be outside." He says.

"I'll talk to you later Cheeseburger. Hubby here." I dap Cheeseburger up and he nods.

I rush outside the building.

"Damn fatass, yeen have to run like that." He comments, still on the phone.

I hang up seeing him pull in. He parks crazy asf and I hop in.

"I got 15 minutes left." I close his door.

"Oh thank you so so so much, I'ma give you a back massage tonight." I take the bag and open the plate.

"Whatever make you happy." He caresses my chin.

"That right thereeee, will get you SAWALLLOWEDDD upppp." I look in his eyes.

He smiles, looking away, just as sexy as the day I met him.

"Tell me bout yo day and whatchu finna do while I eat." I take the top off the sauce rq.

"I been outside, whatchu thought? I'ma go check on my cousin's son and his mama tho. I'm still making sure they good in his memory. When you get off, I'ma have you get me this new strap I been looking at in yo name n get my groceries." He says and I nod agreeing.
