"A Halloween party?" Scout asked as he looked up at Keaton, the male had just came by his and Lucs dorm with some sort of flyer about a Halloween party that was happening well, tomorrow."Yeah! It would be really awesome if you could make it Scout, I know its last minute but the rest of our class is coming so it only makes sense that you come as well, also it's a costume party and who doesn't like costume parties we get to decide who has the best one after all" this was a sudden shock to Scout, but he didn't want to let Keaton down since he was his friend after all. "Okay fine I'll go.." he said and smiled at the younger male. "Great, thanks dude also whenever Luc gets back tell him he's invited as well" Scout nodded and let out a small 'will do' before sending Keaton off with a wave and good bye.
Once he closed the door he let out a small groan and rubbed his eyes, "I'm too much of a pushover.. I don't even have a costume.." he mumbled to himself.
Scout wasn't really the type to dress up or celebrate Halloween, he didn't have much friends as a kid and even now he wouldn't say he has a lot except for the few he has in his class the rest are acquaintances, of course he ate candy and watched horror movies, but he never really partied or went out with friends so this would be his first. He knew that he needed to surprise everyone because he was secretly really extra when it came to things like this and also because he wanted to be the person with the best costume there especially knowing that Cecil would start some sort of competition with him over it.
He put his shoes on and sent Luc a quick text saying he wouldn't be there when he got back. "This is going to be interesting." he said and left his dorm. As he walked outside to his car he thought about what he should do, he wanted it to be a somewhat surprise.
Something that would shock everyone including himself but that meant stepping out of his comfort zone, and he rarely did that but I guess now was the time, he was 19 going on 20 it's time he started acting like people his age do, even if it is for one night. He pulled out his car keys once he got outside and unlocked his car, getting in and putting his seat belt on.He sat there for a few seconds until boom! An idea came to him, it was out of the ordinary and something he knew no one else would do not even the extra people like Trix or Kriss would even think of this costume. Scout was even more surprised that he thought of it, the idea wasn't something the mind of a normal person would think of, but hey, that's what made it even more exciting right? Scout started the car and pulled out of the driveway and drove to the nearest Halloween store hoping they had what he needed knowing it might be hard since its last minute but it was still worth the shot.
It was almost night time so he knew the store would be closing sooner or later, so he really needed to hurry up, once he got there he parked his car and got out quickly. He walked up to the entrance and looked at their closing time before he walked in. Once he walked in he asked for assistance since this was his first time buying something like this, and to his luck the worker was more than happy to assist him.
"So is this just for the party or are you also trying to impress a special someone?" The worker asked as they looked around for something that would match Scout."A bit of both. Believe it or not I have never been to Halloween's party before since it's not something I'm really into, so I wanna really go all out and surprise everybody to let them know I'm not just some lame uni student with no social life, also my boyfriend, I really want to make him upset by having a better costume than him since I know how much he hates losing, also I wanna give him a bit of a surprise" He said and giggled softly. "I know exactly what you need"and with that the worker hooked him up with all the stuff he would need to pull off his plan successfully, they made sure everything fit perfectly for Scouts body type, and they even helped him find some makeup to make the outfit come together nice. It all ended up being a good eighty dollars which was as expected but at the end of the day it was worth it if he wanted it to go correctly.
