~Akemi's Point of View~

"Ow. Could you be a bit more gentle." I grumbled as mom patched up the cut on my arm from last night's secret S-ranked assassination. "If you hadn't gone and gotten yourself hit I wouldn't need to be doing this." She sighed, I grumbled until she was finished I went to walk around the village after turning in the report to the hokage personally to calm down when I noticed a certain ebony haired boy laying in the ground and sighed but smiled taking it in for a moment longer before going over to him. "Hey, any good clouds?" I asked, getting a lazy smirk in response as I sat next to him. "Get back from a mission?" He asked, nodding to the bandage. "Oh. I was just coming from some solo training and had a minor mistake but it's nothing." I lied, I hated this but nobody could know.

"How did you become a chunin if you have minor training accidents still?" I asked, she made an unimpressed look. "How did you become a chunin if you forfeited to a girl?" She said back, laying down aside me. "So, Ino told me about Sasuke and the mission you all went on to try to get him back. Sorry I was out on a mission." She said, I shrugged but sighed explaining knowing that Akemi had a way of getting me to talk and that keeping secrets from her was pointless as she always seemed to figure them out before too long. "So tell me something, Akemi? What do you think of Sasuke Uhicha?" I asked, she looked over her shoulder having sat up. "What do you mean?" She asked, I clarified and she hummed tapping her lip. "I don't really know, while we were kids I never really paid him any mind like the other girls simply because I couldn't see what they saw in him. Don't see what Sakura sees. I think he's a shinobi that tragedy struck unfortunately and got sucked into wanting revenge, I think his path can only lead to darkness as it's a lonely path. I think especially in a battle way of thinking, a shinobi should never walk alone because the chances of ambush are raised significantly ultimately meaning that shinobi's demise that's why having a team and by extension bonds is important." She explained, continuing her ideology of today's shinobi system and how it was changing since the third's death. Wind gently blew by making her hold back a strand from her face. "I can sense a change, Shika, something big is going to happen to further the change. I don't know what or when but I only know this, I want to continue to be by your side and support you as we have been." She said, looking at me with a glimmer in her eyes that made my heart feel weird so I closed my eyes and sighed deeply.

"You have always been the more philosophical one of us, Kem, still don't understand half of what you say myself but I agree with that last part." He chuckled, explaining his thoughts and dreams. "So does that include a certain blonde from a certain village?" . "What are you talking about now?" He grumbled, sitting up only getting a grin and a chuckle. "Well, it's a drag but I'm getting kinda hungry now, and I guess you could join me." He said, sitting up and dusting himself off. "Miss me that much, Shika?" I asked, I had been taking up a lot more missions now since becoming a chunin so naturally I have had less time to hangout with Shikamaru and the others. "Sure." I shrugged, standing up and dusting myself off before walking with him.
