The drive back to their home was long, to a certain degree of course as i had a sleeping child in my lap as we slowly pulled up into the driveway. My eyes flickered to mike as he slowly looked back through the rearview mirror, before turning his body to look at Abby and me. "I car take her from you--.." I shook my head, "Its fine, i take children care classes at my high school, which is a weird choice of class, but im used to carrying children asleep or not, do you mind opening the door?" He shook his head and quickly got out of the car, opening the door for me as i slowly and carefully squint in fear of waking Abby up as i picked her sleeping body up.

I followed Mike into the house with slight caution, but i don't think i had anything to fear if he was taking care of his sister, and i doubt he would do anything to me if i was carrying his literal sister. I helped put her on her bed as he tucked her in, bringing the quilted covers up and over her body as i stepped back to move away. "There you go.." He mumbled softly, tucking her in as he stepped back, hands on hips as he sat down at the chair of her small desk.

I stood near the door, well, outside of it since i didn't want to get in the way after she was tucked in. I moved away, and slowly went into the living room where he had set some blankets out for me to lay on prior on the couch, which i set out and up.

I didn't necessarily leave his sisters room, well he did, he just didn't come out to the living room and went to his room, and shut the door. So i laid down on the couch and curled up with the blanket on me, and it was-- way fucking better than my bed at home, i mean, my parents have money, so its shocking how a couch is better than a bed.

Well, a bed they got for a discount from a grandma with a cat problem. I finally closed my eyes from the tired day, just to rest them, and accidentally fell asleep.

Me and Abby sat at the small table, me picking at the food while she easily and quickly eats it with no problem. Which, damn, she's like- tearing it apart. Mike watched her with distant eyes, something was on his mind, but my eyes flickered between the two.

But I made sure to stuff the food underneath my mask for them to not see my face, just- to be careful.

"Hey Abby, we need to um... talk about what happens last night." Mike cleared his throat, in which Abby noted, setting down her grilled cheese(?) to turn to body to give him her undivided attention. "Thank god you finally said it." I breathed a sigh on relief, making him glare at me in the corner of his eye, well not glare, but glance- like an older brothers annoyed stare.

"So those uh, those uh... machines-" "Our friends?." Abby cut in, hee eyes wide and confused, making me bite my cheek as a slight snort left me. "Yeah, our friends?" I mock, making Mike huff out and look towards me warningly. "Sorry.." I giggle underneath my breath like a child and go back to eating.

"Okay, your friends..." mikes voice held a soft tone as he spoke to his sister, "um.. are they—" he hesitated, but Abby answered for him. "ghosts?." "Of course, how else could they make the robots move..?" A loud snort left me. "Ooh you tell him."

"Do you have to wait outside, or in Abby's room." He looked to me, crossing his arms, which I shook my head. "Nah I'm good- I'm good."

"Can I have some more soup?" I didn't touch my soup, but I watched as bike looked towards the almost empty bowl holding his untouched serving. "Uh yeah.." Mike said, standing and going over the the actual kitchen area.
