Due to some supply reason –that being Mihawk's ship running out of thread for the sails– you had to make a quick stop at Loguetown.

It wouldn't be long until you would get to the Baratie anyway, and sometimes you needed something other than grilled fish for dinner. Besides... Loguetown had some cutesy parks that you hadn't visited in a while. You couldn't remember the last time you had visited Loguetown in general. It was nice to go out for a walk every now and again. Especially after being at sea for so long.

What you hadn't accounted for was the weather being so damn hot. You felt like you were being cooked on a pan.

You fanned yourself with your hand, sweaty, as the sun blazed on and waves of heat mercilessly descending upon you. "Wish it wasn't so hot, but what can you do..."

Summer brought many things. Heat stroke was one of them, and you'd much rather be relaxing in the hot springs, which would do much better to cool you off right now. Kuraigana Island was a very cool place. Literally. It's like the island's only weather was rain, storms, and intense fog. If it wasn't infested with Humandrills, you'd be outside for those storms, but you weren't too fond of getting beaten up by an animal.

Your thoughts drifted back to your... peaceful... island, which did have some bloodshed, once upon a midnight dreary, where the Humandrills learned about the concept of war.

Ah, I remember the first time they tried attacking me. You mused quietly, recalling the day you almost had a heart attack because of a really big mandrill.

When they had tried to attack you, they also learned that if there was a slight towards you, it was taken as slight towards Mihawk. Thus, they never approached the castle, and were visibly nervous whenever Mihawk was around. They clearly feared the Shichibukai that resided on the island. Which was... good? As long as those Humandrills didn't bother you, you wouldn't bother them. You still have a small fear of it happening again, but seeing as they haven't tried to trample the flowers in your garden, you'd be fine.

Well, there is that one Humandrill that's starting to copy your husband's sword style– that was a concern for another day.

Wait, isn't that the one they consider the leader? Your brows furrow for a moment. Your (husband's) shirt sticks to your chest due to the heat. Maybe I should worry about that when we get back. I haven't seen it in a while.

Fear not, you have your goth hunk of a husband to protect you. He could rip apart the island you lived on if you wanted. It wasn't much of a challenge.

Speaking of Mihawk, what's taking him so long...?

What you could assume was that Mihawk was off getting a quick snack that you could share. He didn't say much else aside for you to wait under the tree and cool off. Only god knows where he wandered off too, and it indeed left you sitting under a tree in one of the parks, with an occasional breeze sweeping through the air. There was little to no cloud cover. You wouldn't complain about such a nice day, though.

If it was pouring, you and Mihawk would have to be cooped up underneath the ship. Or just you, since Mihawk wasn't about to risk you getting sick. Sometimes he treated you as if you'd shatter like glass if you stubbed your toe. Which you did, honestly. It was a bit embarrassing crumpling to the floor after nearly breaking your foot on the corner of a kitchen island.

When you heard footsteps coming your way, you knew it was Mihawk. You had memorized how he walked long ago, and looked to the side. A part of you thought you were hallucinating when you saw him walk over with an entire pineapple in one of his hands.
