Falling For Mr Stranger

CHAPTER 4

Vikram stared at her disappearing figure with a neutral expression on his face.

Niharika's eyes fell on her friend Aditi near the parking lot.

" Aditi.." She called her as she took fast steps towards the parking.

" Hey Nihii.." Aditi smiled at her. She took some steps towards her and got her bags.

She placed it in her car and they went inside the mall as Aditi asked her driver to wait for them.

" So how are you?" Aditi asked Niharika who smiled.

" I'm good..How are you?" She asked and Aditi gave her an ' are you ok ' look.

" You hate these formal conversations..But now? You don't love me anymore..I hate you!" Aditi turned her face away, Niharika slapped her forehead for her carelessness.

The Stranger guy occupied her thoughts that she isn't able to concentrate on the conversation with her best friend whom she met after years.

" But I love you!" Niharika said with a smile as she pulled Aditi's cheeks.

Niharika forwarded her a KitKat chocolate and Aditi's lips curved.

" Okok . I forgive you. Don't repeat it." Aditi said and Niharika laughed.

They took some pictures, spoke about their lives and about the days they spent together in school.

Suddenly Aditi's eyes widened in suprise.

" Vicky Anna!" She literally yelled in excitement.

Niharika's eyes fell on the man who smiled at her best friend and her lips automatically curved.

She cursed herself for being shameless and averted her gaze from him.

" Aren't you..." Before he could complete Aditi interrupted.

" She's Niharika, my best friend. I will go home, get ready and will be there sharply at eight pm." Aditi said in a serious tone and Vikram nodded with a smile.

His eyes fell on Niharika and he extended his hands towards her.

" Hi Ms.Niharika , I'm Vikram." He said, his lips curved for a mischievous smile.

Even though she didn't want to shake his hands , she extended her hands without any option.

" Hi Vikram!" She stressed his name and he chuckled.

Aditi asked him to take some pictures of her and Niharika. Vikram nodded and forwarded his hands for her phone.

Without any other option , Niharika stood with here.

He took some pictures and gave her phone.

" Thanks , it would be great if you also take some candid pictures." Aditi said with puppy eyes and he laughed.

The dimple made Niharika's heart flutter, she controlled her emotions as his eyes fell on her.

This time, Vikram took photos from his phone.

Niharika and Aditi were busy as they pulled each others legs and gave some cute expressions for the picture.

He took few pictures, and Niharika slowly averted her gaze towards him and he caught her . She immediately turned away and her cheeks flushed and he didn't know why he clicked a picture of her as she lowered her head to hide her blush.

" Show us the pics." Aditi came towards him and before she could see the pics , he moved Niharika's pic to the hidden files.

" Forward me these pics Anna." Aditi whispered and he just nodded.

After they chatted for some more time Aditi left and Niharika thought to ask Karthik to pick her up.

But he didn't attend the call.

" Need my help?" Vikram asked her as his hands got the bags from hers.

Without any option, she followed him silently.

She didn't even utter a word that made him feel weird.

Nidhi wiped her tears away as her eyes fell on the pregnancy kit .

Karthik who just entered the room , glanced at his wife but didn't utter a word.

" Karthik!" She called him softly.

" If you are gonna talk about this , I'm tired Nidhi ." He said as he removed his t-shirt and went to the washroom.

Even though both of their families didn't give pressure about her pregnancy, she's tired of answering the relatives. She even stopped attending the family events.

At the beginning, she didn't take it seriously. They planned for a baby after an year of their marriage. But the taunts made her reconsider the decision . But he was firm about their decision. But now even after two years of their marriage she didn't conceive.

She got her periods a week ago and today when she arranged the bags her eyes fell on the kit that made her feel weak.

She closed her eyes for few minutes and composed herself.

Karthik glanced at her as he dried his hair with a towel.

He went to the balcony as he tried to give a break to his restless mind.

Nidhi hugged him from behind and placed her lips on his bare back.

" I'm...I need you Karthik." She kissed his nape.

He turned as his hands cupped her cheeks. The tears in her eyes made him feel weak.

He made his way towards the bed with his wife in his arms.

He didn't attend Niharika's call as he was busy in expressing his love to his wife.

After they made love , he pulled her into a tight embrace and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.

She very well knew , he won't be the same after he comes to know  the reason between their intimacy.
