Chapter 6

I tenderly opened the door not knowing what to expect, the door was opened and it was revealed to a fairly young tall good-looking guy who looks like he was either blessed with genetics or lives in the gym but somehow the muscle did not look like an overkill. Anyway, he looked at me suspiciously before fully opening the door and gesturing for me to enter. I was mind blown with the interior and at that moment ruled that these people were in some serious crime family to afford this. Like there is family rich then well off but this is just billionaire worthy and they don't worry and flaunt their money at that.

He invited me inside and I was invited by a straight line of 3 boys which I assume are all my brothers and although it might be odd I can see strikingly similar comparisons in our features which somehow warms my heart and consoles me that these people are my actual family.

Alessandro raises his voice to be heard over all the awkward "Well boys introduce yourselves this is Evelyn and make sure to give her a tour, To start off I am Alessandro your oldest brother at 26" Whilst he says this he takes a step toward me and gently kisses my forehead and catches me off guard but I place a graceful smile on my face because I was actually heart warmed by this gesture. He gestures his hands over to the boys indicating for them to start. The first one in line who seems to have a motherly aura but still powerful strike to them starts talking. "Hello sweetheart, my name is Leonardo and I'm 22 and it amazing to have you home finally", It scares me how much joy he says this with like it actually means something to him which is such a foreign feeling for me. I kindly smile at him because I think he deserves it and he gratefully looks at me regarding it.

The middle guy starts to talk, "Hello Evelyn, my name is Nicolo. I am your third oldest brother and I am 20 years old, it is great to finally see you after all these years. We are all grateful to have you back home." I kindly nod my head down which I still can't seem to fathom why I did it but I just felt like it was necessary anyhow it was now time for the last guy who looked evidently younger but he still managed to look at me sourly and cold at the same time and he gave me vibes that he was very closed off and had a very cold facade about him. Anyway he started talking and all I could do was hope for the best. "Well hello Mother stealer, My name is Romeo not that it is any of your behaviour and I am 18 if you really needed to know, leave me alone oh and also you will never be apart of this family no matter what you do, so just enjoy the money whilst it lasts because soon I will do everything in my power for you to leave". That totally shocked by it but I was not totally surprised because something had to be wrong here or god would just not settle but something inside me just clicked because I am older and I am not going to go through what I did when I was growing up especially not with my biological family believe it or not it was time to use my voice and stand up for myself.

"Well hello dear brothers, nice to meet some of you but unfortunately not all." I then directed my faze toward Romeo "As for you dear Romeo, I hope you keep your mouth shut and learn your place and I do not care what you think and for the better of everyone keep your opinion to yourself, I have waited my entire for a loving family and I will not let people like you ruin it and yeah you're right maybe I will not be here for a long time as you claim to get rid of me as soon as you can but most probably my luck will kill me off earlier and I will enjoy it and frankly I don't care what you say and think and as far as I'm unformed I am apart of your family through blood and by living under the same roof as you so next time I would choose a different person to pick a hissy fit with." I finished my little pride talk and for once in my life I was proud of myself for speaking my mind and not squeaking around like a mouse. And I was true to everything I said in my little rant I am not letting anything get in the way of me enjoying my life have had enough for a 16 year old so far. My brothers actually looked proud besides Romeo who believe it or not looked embarrassed and guess what it serves him right.

Anyway Evelyn I think it is by far time to introduce you to the rest of the house, Hell yeah house tour all the boys besides Romeo shouted out loud. Due to my underground knowledge I have already predicted my brother are in the Italian mafia and their house does the rest of the talking for them so before we stride up the steps I subconsciously spew this out of my cursed mouth "So what you guys do for a living I'm guessing the Italian mafia". All the boys faces were priceless and it was kinda actually funny but I had to remain serious with the issue at hand. Alessandro sighed and answered honestly and I could tell by his facial expression, "Yes we are treasure good guess I suppose but since you know that there is something else I would like to inform you about" All the brothers looked down even Romeo and had pity written all over their faces which automatically told me something bad was coming.

"You see sweetheart with our line of work to keep the women safe we usually pair them with a close equal ranking mafia male for lifelong protection, kinda like a marriage without all the semantics, and you stick by them for life and are honest and faithful for your lifetime, I know this sounds horrible but we honestly have no say in this it was decided centuries ago by our ancestors and agreed upon over paper form both families so it had to happen" "Love you are going to be paired with Santiago, he is 20 and is currently Don of the Spanish mafia, please stay with us love I know this is a lot and is very unfair for you but we have no choice and we are doing the best we can but with the way things are going down this is looking like the only option and maybe it will not be the worst thing because after all we all have met the guy besides you and he seems actually decent. Just give it a shot that is all we ask I though I should tell you know rather then later so you know we are not keeping secrets from you and that you are prepared for the future". He stepped forward and placed a brotherly tender kiss on my forehead but this time it felt different like out of pity but still love and it was now that I knew how bad my world was falling apart but I knew better to look in the bright side and always for the silver lining because there always is one.
