Neuvillette turned to face the now, illuminated, end of an otherwise dark hallway. Wasn't the power out here?! How could the light come on?
"Isn't the power cut to this section of the -"
"Shh-" Wriothesley said quietly, Neuvillette immediately shutting up.
As the raven slowly and quietly stepped towards the light, no sounds could be heard other than the flickering of the lightbulb in question.
The pair now stood beside the door, gun in hand. Wriothesley turned the corner, aiming the gun in the room and looking around, Neuvillette too following suit, rather than aiming his firearm however, stood with the kamera, aiming it inside the room.
The sound of surging electricity killed the silence, the light flickering before the bulb exploded, and all was dark again.
Wriothesley covered his face, looking away as shards of red hot glass fell to the ground, once it had landed, looking back in the room.
In the pitch black, void like darkness, two white dots stared back.
Wriothesley shot, the initial shot lighting up the room for a moment, revealing a tall, dark, cloaked figure with dots for eyes, Neuvillette quickly snapping a shot with the Kamera. However, when Wriothesley finally got the torch working again, there was nothing.
The room stood empty, aside from the shattered glass on the floor and a stray chair in the corner.
Neuvillette stood in shock. This was terrifying. Seeing ritualistic paraphernalia and then seeing what was most likely the result of a summoning!? Nope.
"Wriothesley, I think it's high time we get the fu-" Neuvillette started, before he was silenced by Wriothesley holding a finger to his mouth.
"I agree - but we need to investigate the other two rooms -"
"So you're telling me that you WILLINGLY want to stay in the building you were attacked my demons or spirits for the sake of PHOTOS!?!?!" Neuvillette whisper yelled, the panic evident in his tone. He put away the kamera and shoved the polaroid that it spat out in his pocket whilst he spoke.
Wriothesley fell silent as they walked, quickly back down the corridor, the rattling of metal coming from Neuvillettes shaking hands as he tried to hold the gun steady. The raven looked at his hands before making a decision.
"Okay, you're right, come on lets go-" Wriothesley said, gripping his arm and leading Neuvillette down the stairs, having put his gun away to hold him and the flash light.
Neuvillette didn't need to be told twice, nor lead. He practically sprinted down the stairs, getting to the bottom just before Wriothesley, holding the gun at the stairwell in case anything decided to follow.
Wriothesley took hold of his shirt and led him outside via the hole i the wall, the two standing for a moment to bask in the cities light after the confrontation.
Neuvillette, standing and staring at the hole in the wall, finally put his gun back in its holster before turning to face the raven. His expression was unusually calm.
"Please. Tell me we aren't going back in there." He said.
Wriothesley couldn't help but laugh, panting from their escape. He crouched and sat in a squat position, looking up at the man with a grin.
"You were so scared, the way you-"
"And you weren't!? You're telling me you've seen that before!!" Neuvillette gestured to the building, eyes widened, astounded.
"Well, yes! I was scared- but it's new! I wanted to -" the raven replied before cut off by the other mans bewilderment.
"EXCUSE ME??" Neuvillette half yelled, looking at him with a face that just screamed, 'Are you actually serious right now?' "If you want to go back in, there well be my guest! I am not stepping foot in that cursed building unless I HAVE TO."
