Sometime after the infamous friendship bracelet episode

It was a Friday evening, and Travis had gotten home from training camp. He was tired, so he showered, ate, and headed straight to bed. The entire week, he had been hounded about the whole Taylor Swift friendship bracelet thing. His teammates had a lot to say, and so did some of his close friends. He didn't mind, though; he knew it was all in good fun. He threw the ball in her court, and at least he tried.

As he lay in bed, he thought of all the craziness, but he thought she was worth it. When he watched her perform, he felt a magnetic energy from her. She knows how to pull you in.

Travis turned on his side and grabbed his phone. He decided to do some scrolling before bed. He saw the notification.

Miles Teller

He quickly opened it and read,

"Hey Travis, how are you, man? I just wanted to let you know that I told Keleigh to give Taylor your number. We know you are a good guy and Taylor deserves that. Just wanted to give you a heads-up! Also, I hope you don't feel like we are intruding on your love life! Keleigh wanted me to tell you that. I just told her we are playing Cupid!"

Travis sat up quickly, and his heartbeat picked up. He began to type,

"Not intruding at all! I made things pretty public on the podcast, so I was hoping she would somehow see it! Thank you for helping a brotha out. So, I take it she's seen the podcast?"

Then he sent the message. Stars are aligning, baby, he thought to himself.

"She has, and she enjoyed it! She was a little cautious at first, but we convinced her! Do us right Trav! Keleigh, her, and I are planning for a night out soon, so be expecting an invite! Alright, see you soon maybe?"

Travis quickly responded,

"Alright, thanks again! I'll do my best and hope to see you soon! Tell Keleigh I said hi!"

After that conversation had ended, there was no way Travis was going to be able to fall asleep. He tried to get comfy as he checked the time, 8:45 pm. She could still text him, right? Was it too late? Who did he think he was, thinking Taylor Swift would text him at this hour?

He put his phone down and shut his eyes. But to no avail, he could sleep now. Then he heard his phone vibrate. There's no way he thought. He grabbed his phone, and there the message was.

It read,

"Hey Travis, this is Taylor! I saw your podcast and let me just say I'm a huge Eagles fan, so tell Jason I said hi! Now I heard you came to the concert and left disappointed, and I just can't have that. So how should we fix this?"

The text he couldn't wait for. He knew what he was going to respond with thanks to Cupid. He begins to type and send,

"Hey, Taylor! Thank you for reaching out. About the concert, you know I was amazed by the entire show! You are incredible! I wanted to give you a friendship bracelet, but with the security, it didn't quite work out. I thought I would have some sort of pull being that we were in Arrowhead! Also, I'll let Jason know right away!"

He didn't expect her to respond so quickly, but she did.

"Sorry, you didn't have any home-field advantage. You have my attention now though, so how will you get that friendship bracelet to me if your offer still stands?"

He couldn't mess this up. His fingers felt like they were flying.

"Well, maybe I could see you soon? Is that alright with you? I know you are busy. We have an extra day off next week; would that work?"

"You are a busy man too, does Friday sound good? I'll have my team reach out. I'll be waiting for my bracelet Kelce."

"Sounds good Swift, I'll be happy to give it to you."

Throughout the week, they texted many times and even shared a couple of phone calls. The conversations flowed, and they were both excited to see each other. It was something new, so both of their teams worked to make sure nothing would leak.

His plane landed smoothly. He got to his hotel and cleaned himself up. Her security and cars would be taking him back and forth this weekend.

He got to Zero Bond and headed in through the back. Her security let him know that Ms. Swift was already waiting with some friends. He walked in and saw her.

She was in a black mini-dress. The sleeves were long and off the shoulder. She had on a classic black pump. Her hair fell down her back in loose curls. She had her classic red lip. She had to be the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. She was in a conversation with Miles and Keleigh. Miles noticed him walking toward them first.

"What's up, man?" Miles said with a grin. Stupid cupid. He went in for a hug.

"Hey man how are you?" Travis said with a small laugh. He pulled away and hugged Keleigh and then Taylor, and their eyes met. Tension and excitement ran through both of them.

"Hey, Travis. Good thing you're a hugger." She said with a small giggle.

"Hey, Taylor." He said, and they shared a hug.

"Why don't we order some drinks?" Miles said.

They all sat and talked and drank. Travis noticed everything about Taylor. She was truly mesmerizing. As the night went on, Miles and Keleigh slowly backed off, leaving Travis and Taylor to themselves in a booth. They sat right next to each other. Arms and legs pressed to one another.

They talked so comfortably with each other like they had been friends forever.

"So that's how I got kicked out of preschool," Travis said. Taylor was red in the face from laughing.

"You know you aren't what I expected," Taylor said. She turned herself slightly, and they were very close to each other. Their faces were very close. She had her legs crossed, a drink in hand, and her eyes on him.

"I hope that's a good thing."

"It is, you are like a gentle giant." She said as they both laughed.

"I almost forgot. Here," he said taking the bracelet out of his pocket. He grabbed her hand and placed the bracelet on her wrist. She was all smiles.

"Since you already have my number, I made you one with Chiefs colors and my jersey number. Maybe you come to see me at Arrowhead. I can change your mind about the Eagles being your favorite team."

They were both blushing. He hadn't let go of her hand. She leaned in and kissed his cheek. It was a sweet moment and her lips felt so soft against his cheek. He was blushing hard.

Taylor noticed and ran her thumb across his cheek. They both let out small giggles.

"Thank you, Travis. I don't think you'll need to do much to change my mind. You are already starting off pretty strong"

"You don't know how happy that makes me," He said.

The night continued, and the rest is history. Thanks, cupid.
