It's been five yearssince he smiled genuinely and everything was nonetheless the same about him; the same cold him, the same unfriendly him & same ruthless him.
His office had eerie silence while his employees were working as deligently as they could, knowing their boss was a cold monster who wouldn't listen to any of their excuses and would just fire them on the spot if they merely annoyed him.
The atmosphere inside his cabin was not good either as the whole room was now painted black even the glass wall that was facing the sun so the sun rays just came in shades of night similar to his black heart which held no compassion inside it for anyone anymore.
"Sir, the meeting is in five minutes," His secretary informed him.
He nodded at him grimly and left his chair to join the meeting. His veiny hands fixed his tie and honed his suit before walking out of his office.
After the meeting, he strolled to the rooftop to behold the sight of sunset so it might ease him. He watched the sun slowly letting the night embrace the sky instantly reminding him of her who was sunshine to his darkness.
Emotions. These fu*cked up emotions are the only thing that he is hating about himself right now. For him they give hope, they give him a way to lead a life, and in the end, they leave you like an empty shell just like he's right now.
And, Zander Walsh has been entirely abandoned by them right now. His heart had stopped feeling emotions, his life had lost hope, and his heart was blank until she walked into his life only to leave him again to be more devoid.
He sighed and went directly to the party which was held by his middle brother on the occasion of his children's birthday. The kids were excitedly waiting for their favorite uncle and were stubborn to only cut the cake in his presence.
Several guests turned to admire him as his remarkable charismatic personality truly stood out there but he just dismissed them. He went to the twins who were excitedly jumping in excitement after seeing their uncle coming for them.
"Uncle Big came, Xarna," Xavion said to his twin sister with a big smile on his cute face.
"Uncle, I thought you weren't coming" Xarna made a pout causing his heart to melt a little.
In response, he just kneeled and hugged them both even with his steely heart he could feel these true emotions for them. They are his only salvation, they are dear to him.
"Your uncle would never miss your birthday, my munchkins, " He softly murmured against them.
He kissed their foreheads and headed toward the decorated table which was keeping the three steps of different flavors mixed cake representing both of the twins, one step was blue, one was pink and the third one was a fusion.
