((written in English, Spoken in Latin... Understood?))
*The End of the Queens*
"It's time, sisters!" Queen Dehx, the third sister of selleil speaks. Her voice, calm, soft and eccentric. flowing through the air in melodious waves. her Latin accent, thick.
"I know, and I'm ready." A powerful voice answers. One of the sisters. The eldest and the most destructive sister... The Fire elementalist, Queen Ziglhrai (zigai).
"I'm ready too... I need that long awaiting eternal rest" a more chirpy voice utters. Queen Allein. The Water Elementalist. She rests against her seat with a soft hum, closing her ocean blue eyes, momentarily.
"What are we waiting for then? Let's get it over with. I feel the unyielding urge to pass my powers unto another vessel, a different specie entirely..." The Earth Elementalist, Queen Ceeran (Keeran), articulates with a concerned look on her face.
Her sisters shares equal looks, obviously sharing the same thoughts and worries.
"We'd be doing it later tonight.. the kingdom already know we have little time left.. I just hope everything goes as smooth as we all hope it would. I trust our people will take extra care of it before it gets to the next sisters hold" Queen Dehx divulges, revealing her concerns.
"And i hope it doesn't get into the wrong hands.. I hope the right persons gets them" Queen Allein adds, picking up the tea on the dinning table, she takes quiet sips of it before placing it back down.
"The people don't get to choose who harbors our orbs, the orbs choose their hosts" Queen Ziglhrai enunciates thoughtfully.
"plus, it will take a decade or two after our passing before the orbs begin searching for their hosts... We have nothing to worry about sisters" Queen Keeran tells them softly..
Her words were enough to instantly put them all at ease.
They began eating their dinner with a lively atmosphere, chattering softly about any memory or event they could remember, as though this was their last dinner together.
Which, it really is.
They make silly jokes, enjoying their dinner as though they weren't talking about their inevitable death just a moment ago.
••
Time flies by quickly, and it is finally the time for the Queens passing.
Because the passing ritual is a private and lamentable occasion - especially to the people of Selleil - the kingdom is sombre, hosting a grey cloud of melancholy above itself and on every citizens face..
Every home is quiet, not from the night, but from the evident feeling of loss in the air.
Their perfect Queens and leaders are passing on tonight..
They have fulfilled their destiny, by ruling this kingdom with a heart of steel and gold. Transforming it from a lost and uncivilized town to the powerful and influencial nation it is today, the citizens could only hope that the next Queens be like this ones.
They could only hope that the dukes and duchesses who will rule them before the new Queens come, will rule fairly and just.
"Are you ready for the ritual, my Queens?" A loud voice booms. Asking the question running freely in the Queens minds.
"We are ready, Guleir" the Queens answer, their heartbeat, opposing their confident words.
Priest Guleir nods curtly as he maintains his stance before the kneeling, beautiful Queens.
They can't wrap their heads around the fact that they'd be passing away from the kingdom they built from scratch, leaving it behind with only a dukes supervision.
What if things go wrong?
What if the kingdom ends in choas?
I mean, it's not as if they don't trust the Duke in charge of managing the kingdom before the next Queens come, they are just worried about when these Queens will come and how the kingdom will be unable to bloom without it's Queens.
They all have assigned duties as an Elementalist in their kingdom. Duties the Duke cannot fulfill.
Not even a witch can.
And now that they all know it takes decades for the next Queens to be born and for the orbs to find them, they can't help but worry about the future condition of this kingdom.
Sensing each other's distress, they all hold hands. Giving themselves the comfort they desperately seek for as priest Guleir began chanting spells and unfathomable incantations.
His voice rising with each chant, he places his palm on each of the Queens head for a short moment before retracting it. That small action forces out the powerful deity in them.
The presence of their inner deity is powerful, powerful enough to cause a resounding thunderstorm that causes the earth to shake and grumble in disagreement.
Sensing this, priest Guleir immediately kneels in respect, bowing his head to the powerful entities before him.
"Arise, Guleir. You may leave" the Queens commands at the same time. Their voices merges with their inner deity and combines smoothly as they spoke, creating a loud, authoritative and vigorous stream of intimidating voices.
That alone, forces Guleir to his feet and out of the room.
Once alone, the Queens, still holding hands and kneeling, closes their eyes at once, muttering repeatedly "Come forth, oh ye orb of life, come forth and digest my essence. Host my powers and ability until you search and find the next Sisters of Nature. Come forth oh ye orb of Nature"
And like they commanded, a glowing light in reference to the color of the element they yield, taking on the shape of a circle, manifests from the position of their heart.
An Orb.
The Orb of Life.
The Orb of Nature.
The orb floats in the air, floating directly in front of their respective Queens chest as it begins to suck out their powers, element and essence.
It brightens in color, red, white, blue and umber specifically, as it sucks out their souls persistently.
The Queens gasp, eyes wide with pain as they slowly become a void vessel of who they once were...
The deed is done.
The Orbs suddenly dims and vanishes into thin air, leaving the now pale and frail Queens heaving and gasping for breadth.
"I love yo..." The most destructive and cold hearted Queen whispers to her sisters, amidst her pain. The sisters, despite their pains were surprise at her words, but before any reaction or words could be spoken, she screams in utter pain before combusting into ash and dispersing into the air.
Her sisters, immediately following right after.
